F1 2024 Season

Here is how the Interlagos track looks this morning. Still wet but nowhere near as bad as yesterday.

Future generations will be confused why they held the Vegas race in Sao Paolo.

Looks good, let's hope those clouds don't spoil it.

They should just stop having races in countries/places in which it might rain. Problem solved.

I had forgotten about this rule change,.

What wet tyres are available?

New for 2024 are the number of wet tyres that are available to the drivers.
From here on, you only have five sets of intermediates and two sets of wets.
If it is going to rain all day and we get qualifying plus the race in, how you use those tyres will be crucial.

Why are these wet tyres not fit for purpose?
Exactly. Make tyres that can give them the grip they need. So many other motorsports go out racing in very wet conditions, apart from F1.

Also this is a perfect example of why a tyre guard is needed for these conditions to stop the spray which causes visibility issues off the car in front.

Now they're saying how well the wet tyres clear the water so why not get on with it?!

Surely they could bring back tyre blankets though? Even if they take them off another compound but if it helps them be able to go racing in the wet, bring them back!

On a positive note, should we have a race, having quali in the morning and the race in the afternoon is actually kind of nice.
