F1 2024 Season

Legitimately this is the best season since probably 2010. How many different race winners and teams who at certain points were top dogs.

Also Damon Hill can feck off. He lucked into an artificial championship battle in 94 and nearly lost the title to a rookie in 96 when nobody else could realistically match the Williams. He was kissed on the dick by a rainbow in his F1 career and Max’s response was bang on.

From Max's point of view it must be hysterical reading critique of his driving style by Herbert (0 titles, 0 wins), Brundle (0 titles, 0 wins) and Damon Hill (1 title, 22 wins)

I have 0 starts and 0 f1 wins and I've been on Max's back for years.

To be real he still has to show he is a good wheel to wheel racer in F1 (and he's been around a bit). He's great around a lap, but occasionally a hazard to anyone around him in equal machinery.

His battles with Leclerc at the start of 22 were terrific honestly. He has had good ones with Sainz too.

It's when he knows he can afford to crash he goes overboard, especially when he has a car that's not good enough against the competition.

I don't disagree with your overall point, but Herbert actually won 3 F1 races in his career.

Herbert did not have that bad a record.
Johnny Herbert has enjoyed an illustrious career in motorsports, having raced for seven different teams in Formula One. A career that spanned 11 years, Johnny was able to secure three wins, seven podiums and 98 career points during his tenure in Formula One.

Adrian Newey has his work cut out for him when he starts next year. Aston Martin have gone back to the floor they used in Japan. The fourth race of the season. That's mental.

McLaren lightyears ahead of everyone else
Running the wing they ran in Singapore I think with the high downforce package. It's this particular package that they are extremely strong with.

Norris has to win both the sprint and race this weekend to keep his slim chances alive. His best opportunity especially with Max's engine penalty.

Linked with a move to RedBull junior team, with Lawson going to RedBull and Perez getting the boot.

I think they've given Perez far too much time, probably purely because he brings in ££££'s they've binned drivers for way less

Would be good if true but will they finally bin him...

Would be interesting to see Liam in the main team, would his driving style suit a car that's designed to suit Max's? It's where so many others have failed, as theirs doesn't

Herbert was very unlucky with his career. The crash he had in F3 as a young driver was so bad it permanently damaged his ankles (metal pins were inserted). So he lost mobility and some of his ability in a race car with his feet.

Who knows what sort of F1 career he could have had without that crash. Could have been a potential WDC. Such is motor racing.

Hope none of you picked the Mercedes in your predictions for your superbru game.

They will struggle this weekend.

Yeah true , I quite liked him in F1 thought he was decent

Their first runs were pretty late. Think they came back with about 2 mins left

Decent chance that Norris picks up some serious catch up points this weekend...

The 5 spot drop could cost Verstappen big points here. McLaren look mighty

Let's hope we actually get to see the challenging race rather than a red flag

Have we even had any wet races this season?

Yeah strangely wikipedia has him winning zero races on his stats page but elsewhere says he won 2 races in 1995 including Silverstone.

Oh he won the third race in 1999.
Yeh I saw that myself and thought it was odd, because I remembered that 99 race so well, it was the nurburgring and he was driving for Stewart and it was an epic race. Well worth a watch for anyone who hasn't seen it.
