F1 2023 Season

Decent enough race, that. Very ballsy move from Max and RB to go for the fastest lap at the end. Completely unnecessary, but shows what they're all about I guess.

Also, Hamilton is so utterly insufferable. Just fecking drive mate. Even the team had enough of your shite. I bet he was a prefect in school.

More laps than posts during todays race. Another thriller.

Aston Martin have protested the result of the Grand Prix.

Nothing official as to why, but I imagine it'll be around penalties, or lack of, issued for drivers going outside track limits.

Anyone with good knowledge of the good Silverstone spots for next Sunday?

Planning to go for my 30th birthday and want to find the best place to go out of these sections:

General Admission ( the main straight after Chapel)
Woodcote
Copse
Stirling
Stowe

Much appreciation in advance.

Stirling always worked well for me in general admission, you get the speed spectacle of Copse but overtaking is limited. If you're wanting more overtaking, then Stowe is worth it and I'd probably recommend Vale as well.

Definitely Stowe if you can.

Still the most likable driver on his team, and it’s not even really close.

 I wonder when Russell will get his personality firmware upgrade.

1200 instances of track limits…..this is about to be a farcical race clarification.

Who will the appeal affect, will it change the result much ?

Most likely Norris, with Alonso being promoted. Which is why Aston Martin lodged the protest I guess.

Anyone with a close 5 second gap with points could also be in the mix, so Perez and Gasly would probably fall into that bucket.

Are the F1 purists enjoying this Verstappen dominance or are you finding it tedious like a casual like me?

They're going to have to do something with the track limits at this track it's ridiculous 1200 infractions isn't the drivers fault it's the circuits fault, commentary went on about the wet and no track limits infringement, I wonder why:wenger:, the circuit is designed to be driven to the edge, especially when they removed the gravel for the bikes.

Looks like it'll change some of the order, can't help but feeling Norris might be one of those included...

I've said it many times recently. They are turning the sport into a farce. 1200 possible infractions and only something like 5 people penalised.

Sainz, Hamilton among drivers to drop down
So here is how those time penalties work out in the point scoring positions.
Carlos Sainz drops from P4 to P6, with Lando Norris and Fernando Alonso going up to fourth and fifth respectively.
Lewis Hamilton falls from P7 to P8 behind George Russell.
Pierre Gasly drops from P9 to P10 behind Lance Stroll

They’ve confused me as to how Sainz and Hamilton get 10s penalties after serving 5s during the race.

So 4 infringements = 5s, then 1 more = 10s, then they reset the count after that. What?
