F1 2023 Season

Probably not Perez fault the crash, but his fault that a Red Bull is fighting with an Alpine and a Haas

That wasn’t really Perez fault but I want to see someone more competitive in that car next year, this got 5 races to go and both titles are wrapped up.

An unpopular opinion I'm sure but I think Piastri will win before Norris wins. I also don't think it'll be that long before we see Piastri in a bigger team than McLaren.

Albeit a sprint, Piastri is the real deal. Kept Max honest in the sprint.

Well, as sprints go that was a really good one. Still don't like them, but I did enjoy that. And get in there Max!! What a driver. One of the best - incredible.

Awesome to see Piastri get the win, too. Really am a big fan of his. He's going to be special.

When the result has been a foregone conclusion for so long, I guess it's hard to have that genuine response. He's been the champion way before this weekend.
Maybe my memory betrays me but I think Schumi always went bonkers after every title.

Just different personalities I think. Clearly, Max was excited during his celebrations with the team when he got out of the car. He is quite deadpan, generally.

McLaren if they carry this onto next year, then Piastri and Norris could be a teammate battle to watch out for as they fight for podiums and wins more often.
Norris has got some fairly good strategy calls this year doubt it'll be the same if Piastri can match him more often in the races.

great for max to win his first world title.

Piastri has often had the upgrades a race later than Norris. Put the same car underneath them and Piastri looks stronger.

I hope there aren’t many safety cars tomorrow. Since I essentially lost 3 points due to missing the fecking picks deadline, I need about a smooth a race where people finish where they are meant to as possible. Somehow I know that ain’t happening.

fecking awful "sport" these days.

Used to watch it all the time but it's terrible now.

If they every do the indie car all in the same cars thing maybe I'll watch it again.

Those softs lasted around 4 laps

Even after the first safety car drivers on mediums were on par, and only needed one more lap to get the tempersture and they were quicker. Anyone who uses them at any point tomorrow is crazy. Track is slippery as feck, no wonder with two safety cars, and two mistakes by rookies.

Decent sprint, but can't believe anyone opted for softs with that on display. Also Ferrari shooting themselves in the foot losing both places against Hamilton instead of letting Leclerc go because he was obviously faster than Sainz and potentially could have hold Hamilton for one lap.

Congratulations to Max, deserved as expected!

That has never been what is F1 is about. You're wasting your time posting about it. The only true shite things these days are terrible track selection and rules so confusing the organization confuses itself.

that was probably the best sprint i can recall. Great win for piastri. Though he makes mistakes. Safety car restart in a previous race against max and now against russell. Some question marks over Norris. Mistakes in qually for race and sprint. Mistake in the sprint race. Poor restarts after safety cars. Leave a huge gap for max to drive into. Pressure is on now they have a great car and he has a very talented teammate.

Shame mclaren start so far down the grid tomorrow. Gotta start the race on the medoums tomorrow then go hards and finish with softs when fuel loads are low (if fia insist on a three stop race).

This and the sprint race on RB Ring (so 2 of the 3 sprints so far) has produced some of the best racing of the entire season.
