F1 2021 Season

McLaren are very much on the up and I expect them to challenge for titles within the next 5 years.

Make no mistake, they will not struggle to attract big sponsorship dollars when they start winning races again and they have a name that will attract top line drivers. The demise of Ron Dennis and his decision making set them back a few years, but they are just as big as any other top 3.

Funnily enough, unless Max wins the title this season, I dont ever see him winning a title, or he'll be like Mansell and only win it when he has far and away the best car... and he'll only win one.

My prediction for the next few drivers titles are:

2021 Hamilton - Max - Runner Up
2022 Russell - Max - Runner Up
2023 Russell - Leclerc - Runner Up
2024 Leclerc/Schumacher (make no mistake, he'll sign for Ferrari at somepoint) - Norris/Ricardo - Runner Up.
Fair point about McLaren, they could be one of the big teams, given a good car, sponsorship should not be a problem for them, their problem was losing Dennis, lets see what and beyond bring.
Your predications are way out for me.
I think Lewis will still be around in 2022 and 23, maybe even 24.
Max is going to be around for a long time yet and will win WC's.
Schumacher, not showing much at HAAS, but the car is the slowest on the grid, 2022 will be be better for him , agreed he will be a Ferrari driver at some point, but in a position to challenge in 2024, maybe too early for him.
Russell is another one who will be round for years.
Once Lewis has left, I think there will be a few drivers who will be challenging for WC's, Lewis is going to want to be around for 2022 with the new cars, 2022 I dont see much change with Lewis and Max being the front runners with Russell who will be driving alongside Lewis.

Not a great fp3 for mercs. Hamo down in 7th. The temperature drop has played its part. The ferraris look really good. Could be the closest qually of the season.

Mick Schumacher has been ruled out of this afternoon's Monaco GP qualifying after his car sustained heavy damage in a crash in FP3.

The Haas rookie lost control of his car on the exit of Casino Square, clouting the barriers on the left-hand side of the track and inflicting heavy damage on his VF-21 which cannot be repaired in time for qualifying.

Probably - "We're going to be second last and last on the grid so rather than worry about more damage, just put it in the shed for the race."

Nah Hamilton is having a rare off day, not got his car hooked up at all.

Ferrari pole would be so fun

This could be one of the most exciting Q3s for a while. I’d say Max is favourite but Ferrari are looking a lot better than they have done so far this year. Hoping Norris can put a monster lap together though.

After those practice results I've gone all-in on Red Bull in the Fantasy League for the weekend, subbing in both Verstappen and Perez for Hamilton and Norris. Hope it works out, and for the sake of the overall championship too.
So... I'm an idiot.

 I know there’s conspiracy theories about drivers getting yellow flags in Q3 on purpose to protect their P1 but I don’t think this one with Charles will be one of them.

That must be frustrating as feck for Max.

Convenient time for Charles to hit a wall and guarantee his grid slot

I don't think it's on purpose, but if you already have P1 and go out ahead for last lap, all your incentives are to push it to the absolute maximum... either you get a better lapvor you crash but secure pole.

I think Monaco should be shootout style qualifying, regardless of the rules at all the other events.

Leclerc should be made to start 10th ,

the dumb c*nt again crashes in Monaco and by default doesn’t allow other drivers to qualify for pole , that’s some dodgy grey area of the rules, not saying he meant it obviously but still,

Flashback to when Rosberg pretended to run off the road and didn’t allow Ham to have a final go at qual

Leclerc will be feisty in the race to try and win it, he’s win it or bin it here and he’s always binned it

One way to stop the competition beating your time

Guess they now need to assess the car and hope they don't have to change things.
