FIA have deleted their tweet congratulating Verstappen.
Woah this is going to be even worse if they reverse the result
FIA have deleted their tweet congratulating Verstappen.
we’d just hear masi saying things like “hey siri, what’s involved in and stop and go penalty?” or the sound of him quietly sobbing.
Guilty as charged. You're just here for the drama
The right call under the rules was to not pitThey clearly took wrong decision cuz they lost. Unless if u think that if the order would be reversed FIA would not take same actions but I won't go into conspiracy theories... Also read my post above. Basically they shouldn't cover for Max on first pit stop and should race their own race and would probably have enough lead to change tires under SC and still be first.
Everyone is allowed under a saftey carAppreciated buddy.
That is insane.
How is someone allowed to get new tyres with 1 lap left!?
If/when the timeline is reviewed by CAS it will be so damning. It doesn't help the cars were only moved AFTER Horner moaned
Some of these football comparisons are ridiculous. Safety cars, red flags and other types of stoppages have been a part of F1 for years, for good reason, and unfortunately they always mean someone loses out. The FIA haven’t been great, I get that but it’s apple and oranges trying to compare football and F1.I get that Hamilton got screwed, but what rules /laws were supposedly contrevened?
Booooo. Plot twist, Masi was in charge of twitter duty today!Just means the social media guy made a mistake, and was told to remove it until the decision comes through. They don't invite the twitter guy to the hearing.
Why are Red Bull even there for the decision?[/B]
That's cool but did anyone here see the new matrix unreal engine demo? It's fecking mind blowing!
Happened twice todayLowering - edit quick you do
With the way safety cars work, and the gaps that Hamilton and Verstappen have been pulling out at the front this season, it was always possible. It was the procedures around ending the safety car that were messed up.Appreciated buddy.
That is insane.

That is all accurate. But this wasn't a typical SC event. Name another race where only a few cars were allowed to unlap themselves. Some of these football comparisons are ridiculous. Sorry struggling to understand from googling, what does unlapping mean with regards to the 5 cars between Lewis and Max, they're allowed to go past the safety car before everyone else while Lewis, Max and everyone else wait behind the safety car?
DefinitelyThis feels like a second title for Max
Which would’ve been ok if it had been fair. Red flag the race and let them go for the last 5 if you want to create drama. That last lap wasn’t really racing. It was max taking advantage of a wounded Hamilton
This feels like a second title for Max
I think they should.I doubt this is the end. Mercedes will go all the way with it.
ah, but he clearly was not the better driver today. They disregarded their own rules. You're arguing nonsense. You say you want racing, well Hamilton was clearly the better driver today, then say its just bad luck and ignore rules were bent.
I doubt this is the end. Mercedes will go all the way with it.

Okayah, but he clearly was not the better driver today.
He had the fastest Car.
They can all do that. The issue is the original decision was different (Max would've had five cars between him and Lewis) and their changed decision was outside the rules (Max has a free shot at Lewis.. on fresh tyres)Appreciated buddy.
That is insane.

As someone who doesn't really watch F1, I love that the cars and teams and race director are all mic'd up and it's broadcast. That needs to be in football.
