9th place. Essentially a new race now. If the track drys and he can get some overtakes I would have him down for a podium.
That's how I saw it as well. Lost control and slammed into Bottas.
Can see why they red flagged it that track is a mess

Lewis I think had to go on the wet to pass the back markers...

Some skill from Lewis to get out the barrier shows how far ahead they were he could take that long to extricate himself and be "only" 9th

Hamilton is a lap down but I’m sure a red flag is a reset isn’t it? Button famously won in Canada like that.

They will be allowed to unlap themselves for the restart.

Lewis extremely lucky after that mistake.
Perez and Norris lucky as well as this wipes out the 26 second between them and Lecerlc.
And Max, and especiallyLeclerc and Ferrari unlucky here. Perfect race from them but they lose that through this mess of a crash.

Yeah I bet he is. They are short laps here and he took a long time to get out the gravel. Then followed it with a pit stop he must be.
Really poor from Russel there. It was his mistake and then to go over, shout at a lad sat in a smoking car and then walk off was not cool.

He got lucky with the safety car. He was 26 seconds down on leclerc.
I really rate Lando, he’s on for a big result here

My guess is that in the heat of the moment his thought is that Bottas twitched right and he reacted to that, but the track is super thin and he touched grass and spun. But essentially he thinks it was some sort of illegal move under braking.
I'd give someone the finger too if they hit me at 200kmph.To be fair, Bottas was giving him the finger
This to me is why Russell isn't happy, he feels that Bottas moved over once he had started the move to overtake, pushing him to touch the grass
It’s very subtle but Bottas did move right and it caused Russell to avoid him. At that speed it’s going to happen in these conditions.
it’s just a racing incident. bottas didn’t give him a lot of room and pushed him a bit wide which put a wheel on the grass.
don’t blame him for being so wound up, imagine the adrenaline dump at 200mph.
I hope we get a standing start and not safety car.

I'm not sure Bottas did twitch right. I think that was just the Sky commentators trying to back their British wonderkid.
From the driver cam of the car behind you see Bottas twitch right which then pushes Russell right and his wheel touches the grass.
German commentator also solely blaming Bottas. Weird to say the least.
100% on Russell that, like the kid all you want but some people go to outrageous extents to pretend he can do no wrong. Was the same last year at this track where people blamed the car for when he spun behind the SC.

On the replay, it appears Bottas did veer right ever so slightly. GR must have shit himself.
