Hamilton in a great position now. Pit stop done and in 2nd, Bottas slowing down made that happen so I'm sure the stewards will look at how much he slowed.

Indeed, but they probably feel they're unlikely to be lower than 3rd due to their pace advantage to the rest of the field. Taking a gamble on there being another SC to then have a shot at being 1st.

I guess the only thing for Bottas is that in the end it hasn’t made any difference that he went slow. Still not allowed though.
Hamilton will be right behind Verstappen on new tyres though, so if they do go to the end Max has to gain 20 seconds, if they don't he will be on newer tyres than max for the next 10 laps.
