Monaco should stay on the calendar for the appearance of Princess Charlene alone. What a beauty.
Agree about the track , needs looking at , a bridge is a good idea.
why pathetic ?
You mean like you are doing now !Did you not hear his onboard comments after 60 laps or so? That’s a 34 year old man who’s won 75 GP’s, whining like a little fecking girl that he’s not going to win and immediately starts putyiu ting all the blame on his team, all because a bloke in an inferior car puts a little bit of pressure on him.
You mean like you are doing now !
Pot kettle black!
Surprised nothing more was made of this with Perez nearly running over a couple of marshals.
feck that is naughty. Shouldn’t happen.
Apart from the fact that the last time a driver was penalised for driving too slowly under the safety car in order to not lose time when double stacking, it was Mercedes and Hamilton. Maybe it was less of some grand Mercedes conspiracy and more that Bottas didn't slow erratically like Hamilton did 2 years ago.A travesty of a race.
No way Bottas was inside the allowed SC gap before pitting. Any other driver would get a penalty for doing that but not Mercedes. Not even investgation. I honestly don't recall when was the last time they got a penalty. They can do no wrong, even when they do wrong.
The biggest losers here are Liberty. The sport is dying and their investment will be worth nothing in 10 years time.
feck off Hamilton

Another mighty performance by Lewis.
There will be those who will always decry him but unfortunately they simply don't understand how difficult it was to stay ahead of Max when his tyres were shot.
Who else would have been able to do that when even his team admitted he was on the wrong tyre.
Excellent win.
Lewis is the best driver on the grid, but about 40% of the drivers there would be able to do it. See Ricciardo last year, or how difficult it was for LeClerc to overtake cars 2+ seconds slower than him.
It's like Schumacher in the early 2000s. He had one tough year 2000 (and maybe 2002 or 3) but his car was so quick he could probably drive at 80% and win easily.
Understood. But I still feel that was no easy win and Lewis thinks it was one of his toughest. Not going to argue with that.
It wasn't easy, and the fact he had Max behind made it worse who is capable of a brilliant overtake but also capable of ending both their races. Either way, backing him up was not a good option. Lewis was under severe pressure for a significant period and it dealt with it masterfully. It wasn't made any easier form the pressure he put on himself from wanting to delicate the win to Lauda.
A good understanding of the situation. Well said.
Makes you wonder who does the voting on f1.com. Lewis put in such an impressive display today he wasn't even chosen as the driver of the day.

Don't make people laugh. As if others don't watch F1 races.
We hear this crap from Hamilton every time he's not cruising to victory. No'one is getting fooled with his tyre talk, no one but his die hard fanboys.
The state of affairs when people resort to criticising Lewis for complaining about his tyres in what is essentially a 'private' communication the public can eavesdrop on. Stomach it haters, nothing going to change anytime soon.![]()
Certainly does.
I love the name by the way. What a player he was.
What are you on about? He does it almost every race and then cruises to victory. At one point (long tome ago) it became obvious what he's doing. You be amazed and I'll just laugh at him.
Oh and another news flash for you. It's not private communication. Every team has people listening to other teams radios constantly.
Hamilton was definitely setting the 'miracle drive on bad tyres' narrative to off-set the 'safety car would have won the race' narrative that it should habeen.
He's the best driver on the grid and fully deserved the win with his performance on Saturday but he's hard to listen to
Really?? You sure someone with 76 grand prix wins (now 77) is insecure enough to resort to falsities to make himself look good?

EDIT:
He needs something new to make people believe he's actually in trouble.
He knew Max was going to try a move at some point and it might end up taking him out of the race and that's what got him more and more nervous as time went by.
He is the only champion I ha e ever seen that needs 3 people calming him down on the radio when things are not perfect. Either thst or it's all a good show.

I’m just a fan of the sport, not Hamilton over the cost of all others. I appreciate him for the brilliant driver he is, but can easily see why some people don’t like him. But Christ, your posts are just so, so bitter. It’s a little sad. You really need to chill. It’s not worth getting so worked up about.
Tbf I suspect that Lewis was just being emotional in view of the death of a friend. His emotions are frayed and was just probably letting off steam after a traumatic week.
Noticed how quiet he was even after being congratulated by his team? He normally would yell out loud etc if he had really had to grind out a tough victory. Not this time.
I am pretty sure, tears were shed.
