F1 2018 Season

Mad race. Gripping though. Hamilton lucked back the win Mercedes threw away in Melbourne.

That Red Bull crash has been coming for a while though, don’t think it’ll be the last between them.

Don’t really know what Vettel was doing lunging after Bottas from that distance after the safety car restart. He still had a few laps left to try and pass Bottas and kinda chucked a race win away. He’d have probably finished ahead of his main title rival even if he didn’t manage to pass for the win.

Charles LeClerc was excellent too, some finish from a Sauber. That Ferrari power unit really is something.

You can't race the way Max races and not expect incidents like that, he moves way too much. Danny locked up but we are talking about decisions made in less than the blink of an eye, if the car your racing plays those sort of games you don't have much chance. I agree with Niki, 70/30 blame on Max.

Was about to post something similar. Ricciardo was a bit of a lunge and it wasn’t really on but Max has moved around under braking since coming into F1 and this accident has been waiting to happen for a couple of years. I also think Max braked a little earlier than normal for the corner?

Both to blame, but Max invites these kind of situations and some of them will end up like today.

Too good to be true that he sounded so humble yesterday. A great driver and a massive cock as well.
I think he is the best drive in F1 , but he is also like you say a massive cock, but look through other sports and most of the big names are like that.
Like most of us wen winning all smiles , when losing not.
The F1 sporting regulations say: "In order to avoid the likelihood of accidents before the safety car returns to the pits, from the point at which the lights on the car are turned out drivers must proceed at a pace which involves no erratic acceleration or braking nor any other manoeuvre which is likely to endanger other drivers or impede the restart." so maybe he does have a point, but personally I thought Seb handled the re-start perfect.

If there is no clear rule Vettel takes advantage of it. Hamilton would have done the same, imo.

Don't see any problem with Vettel at all. Everyone takes advantage of the rules.

Don’t see any problem with vettel but you sure saw a problem with Lewis eh.

Oh c'mon! Deliberate by Lewis!
You can't almost stop the car.
He deserves a penalty so Lewis.
Ok, tomorrow i am gonna suddenly stop on a highway, with some cars behind me. They hit me and i blame them.
What a load of shit i just read! So Lewis should start from the bottom in Austria at least if they banned Seb for one race.
Read Mercedes is pushing for it. They are a bunch of sneaky cnuts who play dirt.

As for Hamilton, I should want to support our own, I just can't do it with him. Every action he does, he just comes across an absolute dick.
Button was somebody you'd like to get behind

Don't see the issue with Hamilton here. There was one restart where a commentator mentioned Vettel was faking to go then stopping again and if he's doing so repeatedly then he has to be told to stop. And he's bringing it up publicly because he brought it up in private and nothing happened so he assumes that the stewards will pay more attention to public criticism. Think that's pretty fair.

I cant disagree with that and I am a massive fan of his.
I watched the race that Senna died in and did not watch another F1 race until he made his debut , he made me want to watch F1 again and enjoy it.

I’m off to the Belgium Grand Prix again this year. Anyone else going?

As a Kimi fan for a long time, I am wondering just how much is he past it ? While it is clear that at Ferrari there is a number one - number two policy which has always played against him since the 2014 return, would Kimi be able to fight for the title in a team of equal conditions like Red Bull ?

I think Kimi doesnt have enough motivation on him anymore. He still quick but he can be more. He just doesnt care enough. Alonso who came from same generation i think still have that fight in him. Put him on that Kimi's seat, he would run Hamilton and Vettel to the limit.

I think it's just age catching up with him. If he don't care why is he renewing his contract every year ? He could've just stayed in rallys and mini nascar stuff if he wanted.

Alonso so far has scored points in all races and Mclaren hasn't even evolved that much, Vandoorne is being outpaced and outclassed. Hopefully one seat is available at one of the big teams for Alonso next year...

I miss Nico Rosberg... didn't find his decision to retire after the title surprising as he looked absolutely mentally drained and physically exhausted from doing everything he possibly could to finally beat Hamilton...

But I think Mercedes replaced him with an inferior driver in Bottas and will be surprised if he is still there next year. The market for 2019 should be one of the most exciting in years.

The money is good with Ferrari, and he and Vettel seems to get along pretty well, which is hard to find amongst F1 teammates.

The Mac has its new nose. And it is...weird.
