Good business: he's not a goal machine but he works hard and scores some decisive goals during the season. He's actually quite fast for a tall and strong fella and works hard.
Everton squad should be enough to keep on PL, and once the injured players return things will improve. Against Wolves you guys actually played well, but José Sá defended almost everything.

Yeah, I read that Leno and Sa vs us put in some of the highest rated performances this season so far. Obviously it’s terrible not to have scored but we have created a lot of chances and hopefully Beto will help convert some of them.

im happy with it and the way the deal has been structured. Apparently we can pay roughly 5m this summer and the rest next summer.

How's Garner playing?

Seems to be a first choice under Dyche but is he playing right mid?
From what I've seen Everton fans say, they think he should be being played through the middle and deserves the chance to be. Playing within himself a bit so far this season compared to the end of last where he looked promising, but probably because he's out of position.

Even the defense will suffice IMO, but yes, a right back is needed, I think Coleman is done, too many injuries already. There are god options on the market without breaing the bank like Khellven (will have a bright future), Sugawara, Odriozola, etc

I'm gonna be honest about the Chermiti kid: it was a strange deal because he's not even ready to play at the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but I guess he's a signing for the future.

Cheers.

I really liked him. Think Everton are missing out playing him wide right.

Finally we sign an established striker in Beto. Really frustrating that we didn’t get this over the line before the start of the season but should help us massively.

Looks like Dyche finally gets his big lad up front.

Should be the difference between circling the drain again and finishing a fairly comfortable 14th or something. Especially with the amount of poor teams not called Everton in the league this year.

He was being played there out of a mix of injuries in the squad but now there isn’t really an excuse to play him there.

I think defence in general is a problem.Patterson has potential but he’sstarted the season very poorly. It hasn’t helped though that he’s had Keane beside him and Garner ahead of him. One shouldn’t have been playing at all and the other shouldn’t have played in the position they were. I still think he deserves his chance and run in the team to develop.

Either way we need a new LB, RB and CB next summer.

I doubt it. Their squad is genuinely awful.

I know Patterson is playing through an injury which might be slowing him down somewhat.

Longer term I'm not convinced he's a great fit for Dyche and might be better off with another club or manager who plays more to his strengths.

RB could be solved this summer. Odriozola is not part of Real plans and his market value is very low. They will accept a loan easily.

I’m unsure if Dyche will last long. I reckon he will only be retained if he exceeds expectations by quite a bit.

I just don’t think we will. I think we might try another loan for a wide/creative player and CB. We will see.

I know it's only half a game against lower opposition but I really like the Beto signing.

All the physical attributes you want in a PL striker.

Already looks like the best striker Everton have had since Lukaku could be arsed running.

Dyche's post match pint of bovril will have tasted extra sweet after seeing that.

Today will tell us a lot about where we are going as a club.

We let Iwobi, Gbamin, Maupay and Cannon all leave yesterday without making any signings.

Granted we got c. 30m total for them and they're off the wage bill (especially Iwobi was on quite a high wage) but we went from having good depth to barely any again.

I just don't understand this club and all I can think it points to is that we are royally fecked financially and it's a constant case of balancing the books.

If we lose today then I really don't see us pulling it around like the previous two seasons and think we are going to be in for another very grim year. :(

What happened to the Gnoto move?

I think Everton have a terrible squad but will just have enough to stay up based on the fact there will be 3 worst teams than them. I can't see Sheff Utd or Luton staying up, and I think with the signing of Beto, Everton may just have enough to stay up.

Leeds were adamant they weren't selling unless we bid a silly fee. Similar to Caicedo at Brighton, they held firm.

Everton have gotten even worse but as bad as they are, they're very lucky this year because the promoted teams look awful. They'll probably end up 16th or 17th

I don’t get iwobi going - he’s always looked good when I’ve watched him in that midfield role.

We offered a new contract and he didn't want to sign it. Either we sell and get 15-20m or let him go for free at the end of the season.

Everton close to being sold to 777 partners

Premier League strugglers Everton are close to being sold to 777 Partners, BBC Sport understands.

The financially-stricken Toffees resumed discussions with the Miami-based investment firm after talks with MSP Sports Capital collapsed in August.

The takeover will bring to an end the tumultuous tenure of owner Farhad Moshiri, who first invested in 2016.

A source close to Moshiri said Everton have sought investment for a while, but the deal is not yet complete.

They own Sevilla who are bottom of La Liga, Hertha who are 17th in the German second division, Standard Liege who are 3rd bottom of the Belgian League (and without European football) and Genoa who were relegated from Serie A two seasons ago.

Oh and Vasco Da Gama who are on course to be relegated from the Brazilian Serie A

Standard is an in a very worrying financial state too. It probably predates their takeover but they're having a hard time providing accounts to the mandatory audit bureau, doesn't speak highly about how much they bring financial wise.

Vasco da Gama needs a miracle to avoid relegation, their squad wasn't even good enough to get promoted.

You missed Melbourne Victory too, second bottom in the Australian league.

I don't even know how they've managed that. With so many teams, you'd expect at least one of them to be doing ok by pure luck.

They own about 5 other clubs in Europe? This multi club thing is so grim.

Everton will probably do alright in the championship.

And Liverpool won't start every season on +6 points :wenger:
