The Utd and liverpool statements were short with a bitter undertone. Yanks are pissed. That statement by Utd is interesting though, couldn't help but re-emphasize the challenges football is facing and they'll continue to work on "sustainable solutions".
What makes this even more farcical is that this is the second time this season that the yanks in charge of United and Liverpool have failed to read the room and had to withdraw a half-witted proposal after a brutal backlash.
All the clubs right now
Time to close the thread?
How do you know what they did/said? Apparently plenty going on behind closed doors. What has further disgusted me is both the Liverpool manager and captain have come out publicly against the Super League abomination. Jordan Henderson spoke on behalf of the players as a "collective position" putting pressure on the American owners. What about the United equivalents Ole and Maguire?? Absolutely nothing. Deafening silence.

Football is run so badly, it makes me furious. They have even managed to make UEFA and FIFA look like the good guys, which is not easy to do at all.
While all this was happening, the CL changes which make it very close to a super league anyway, have been approved. 100 more games. The Carabao Cup will end up being for reserves.

More public sentiment entrenchment then?Classic Boris move. Ever the populist. Saw a chance to grift and seized it with both hands.
They also released a statement. Are Spurs saying nothing, hoping nobody will notice they’re still part of the Super League?
Exactly my thought. The Utd and liverpool statements were short with a bitter undertone. Yanks are pissed.
@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson To be fair, Spurs' statement is probably one of the more shameless ones:
Levy's basically saying that he liked the idea of the SL and wasn't expecting the negative response.

Total equivalence.Jesus Christ
Naming names like McCarthy
Weren't Chelsea one of the first of the PL to reportedly jump ship, why are they the last to put out a statement?
Cut from the same cloth.Yeah, the new version of the CL looks like an absolute abomination.
