Europa League Final | Atalanta vs Leverkusen | Match thread

Fun fact; Chelsea beat City with DMs twice, in the month leading up to the final
Even funnier fact: the goal they conceded in the FA cup game and the goal they conceded in the CL final were pretty much the same goal

Thinking here how referees in Europe are so much better compared to Premier League. Different quality.

I’ve always thought he was a good player
How much did he go for??
i ask myself the same. Leipzig too. He's been this good since the moment he landed in Bergamo. That second goal he's scored that like 10 times in 2 years

Think we bought him for around 7.5m and sold him for 22.5m so there was profit in there but baffling that we never played him that much. He only got 30 mins here and there so never got a chance to build up rhythm with us.

It’ll be hard to keep this press going for the full 90 mins.
It'll be equally hard to Bayer to escape it for the full 90 mins. Advantage of playing straight up man to man

Frimpong ain't the answer to our right back issues..he is same position as Olise
Back to the drawing board on a right back

 no way, I'll have to check that
From the build up. Once was a ball to the wing for a cut back, the other a through ball down the middle, but the build up was exactly the same, from a throw in, Chelsea did the exact same scheme and City made the exact same mistakes in defending it

Scamacca looks slow as feck. almost as if he's playing under that freeze curse from Diablo.

So, what does Frimpong even do?

I don't watch Leverkusen often.

Leverkusen look really poor. I'm guessing they're not used to the level of defensive pressing from Atlanta? Not watched them before.

Disasterclass by Leverkusen so far. Bummer, really liked their unbeaten run.

Fair play to Atalanta who came out guns blazing.

Alonso doing a pep by overthinking in a final

I swear that I read this every other week.

Pep has won 24 of the 27 finals he's been involved in.

That's an 88.8% finals record over nearly thirty games.

Where does the overthinking Pep idea stem from, because it sure isn't from the stats.

Leverkusen can’t pass, can’t shoot. Done nothing right this game
