Europa League 24/25

So no one in the big boy competition drops down to the Europa any more. That kind of sucks. Although for teams in the Europa , they have an easier path to play with big boys next season.

Why does it suck? As you say it is an easier path for the teams who actually deserved to be in it and doesn't any longer reward failure in the bigger competitions (as it is the same for EL/ECL as for CL/EL)

It’s entertaining watching teams from the bigger competition play in it.

It's only entertaining when they lose for me. I like to see small clubs having great European adventures, and the bigger ones dropping down just ends that for many of these clubs.

Gala are cutting through them like hot knife on butter. How the feck did we lose to them 3-0 at home?

Galatasaray with an insane performance. Hope Amorim can get us playing with the same level and intensity.

Galatasaray are absolutely destroying Spurs here.

Could easily be 6-1.

Watching Villa and Spurs getting wrecked recently, it's worth noting to those who sneer at the idea that Sporting may have a better squad than ours. The level of football has risen across the board, and the fact one team has more expensive players doesn't always mean better. A couple of bad buys and you could very easily be overtaken.

A team with Muslera, Davinson Sanchez, Torriera, Mertens and Icardi as part of the XI in 2024 is beating Spurs on nearly all metrics. Not a good advert for the great Premier League this.

Spurs playing a b team here, lets not get carried away, this is not the same team that put 4 past Villa. Lankshear ... who? A defence of Dragusin and Davies says everything. Son getting a good run out just back from injury is a positive for them.

Yeah, Forster, Davies, Dragusin, Gray, Bergvall, Lankshear all starting, its fair to say Ange seen this as a game that wasn't must win.

Chelsea 4 up with 24 minutes against Noah's ark

Was Dragusin highly-rated before he went to Spurs? Honestly looks like one of the worst CB's I've ever seen at this level.
