Aside from maybe Porto, lack of good away trips really.

Had to google fcsb, didn't realize that was steaua Bucharest. Good draw though. Should win 7/8.

We should be looking to top the league, can see us missing out on goal difference though

So flights to Portugal, Turkey, Czechia and Romania. Bet the Turkey and Romania games fall the Thursday before trips to Anfield and the Etihad.

Looking forward to seeing Fred and Amrabat dominate our midfield

So a trip to see Jose, Fred, Amrabat and a friendly visit from Erik’s past employers.

Don't get it, fecking rubbish

And now the downside of winning the FA Cup.

Porto and Fenerbahce away... wonderful.

Did anyone else manage to read to the end of this without losing the will to live? I got maybe two paragraphs in and still have no clue how this stupid competition works.
I got Chat GPT to explain it to me.

  • Teams will now play 8 different opponents instead of playing three teams twice.
  • Mass league phase featuring every team instead of multiple seperate groups.
  • Top 8 teams when the league phase is over qualify for the last 16 knockouts.
  • Teams in 9th to 24th will play a straight knockout round to take the other 8 places.
  • Teams 25th or lower automatically eliminated.

I think we did pretty good to be fair.

Avoided Spanish , German, French and Italian teams. Easier then spurs one.

Fernerbache (Jose) and Porto the obvious tough ones on paper.
