Europa League 2011/2012

Muniain has the skill and technique of any other "hot talent" in the world right now + insane work rate.

it looks like three spaniard teams will advance to the europa league semis

plus two in the champions semis

there's something spain is doing ok, football wise

Sunny SPL, PL is much much better!!!!

Tied in Kharkiv and Hannover, it's very tense. EL quarterfinals piss all over CL quarterfinals.

Another sweet goal - Falcao this time. Some really good games tonight.

Falcao has had a very quiet game, but when the chance falls to him he doesn't disappoint. Some nice semi final games to look forward to

Hoogland and Jones have pretty much ruined every decent counter attacking opportunity in since 2-2. Their passing has been dreadful.

Little known fact, that Franco forced all the teams to have their names in Spanish, so for a while Athletic Club were forced to change their name to Athletico. I believe it is a point of pride to them to have changed it back. And considering it's in testament to the English heritage of the game, you'd think most people on here would be pleased about it.

The first leg semifinals are tonight.

Atletico v Valencia

Sporting v Athletic Bilbao.

Looking forward to seeing more of the Basque talent.

Atlético v Bilbao final please.

How long before someone refers to them as 'Athletico'?

Im going to give this a look tonight despite the fact it is on channel 5, seeing as we are connected to nearly the entire Bilbao team it will be good to have another look at the talent on offer.

Another interesting fact - Atletico de Madrid used to be a youth branch of Athletic Club. Both teams share the same colours because the founder of Athletic Club bought fiftt Southampton shirts in England in early years of 20th century - half were kept by Athletic Club and became their colours and half were sent to Atletico de Madrid.

feck I forgot how painful Thursday nights on channel 5 can be
