They've got another cup final in about 2 weeks so they should try to keep some of that tension bubbling away rather than letting it all out!

Defensively Madrid was the better team and Courtois had an absolute blinder.
Up front they had Flacao who showed a world class performance.
So talking of a fluke is a bit over the top.
Three world class finishes were the difference.

Four chances, three goals. Seemingly every loose ball ends up at a Madrid player, Bilbao must have had the lions share of possession and far more chances.

It wasn't a fluke.Bilbao had the possession but didn't create much and A.Madrid defended very well.Simeone organized his team very well
This wasn't a flukey win, Madrid were defensively tight and never gave Bilbao a sniff. The only real missed chance I can remember is of Susaeta. Simeone has really done wonder for Madrid.

If you have more possession, and get beat, means they fluked it.
If you are beaten 3-0 you don't deserve anything. Atletico set up that way and it worked a treat. Nothing lucky about it.
I've never seen anyone not being able to keep it in until the final whistle is blown though, so I'll maintain that it was very special.

Nothing lucky at all. All 3 goals were great. If United would concede three goals like that it would be hard to nitpick where the defense went wrong. Just excellent finishing.

It reminded me of their win back in March...I'm surprised Bielsa hadn't prepared his side better...that or they were simply gassed...Atletico might actually break their streak in the derby next season

Are people really saying it was a flukey win? I though AM set up perfectly and dominated the whole game even when they were sat back.
I think it's a case of people being a bit butthurt and wanting to use the old 'We got kicked out by the eventual winners' but now they have to say, 'we got kicked out to the runners up who should have won', kind of thing.
This. A few Athletic players disappointed a bit tonight, Munian was the only one who had a decent game.
Bilbao really gave it their all against us, and everyone stood up and took notice. Since then, i think they have looked beatable as was proven against Schalke and Sporting, and in the league they haven't been too great.
Courtois is far better than De Gea
