First day at Carrington
I just know already that I’m in for another season of being subjected to watching Scott McTominay start 30+ games in midfield for us.
Nah the owners want one old guy to lead them. Welcome Hulk Hogan! The club are targeting Randy Orton and Batista as possible signings
What do they even mean by evolution?
More focused on fixing and adapting what we have, rather than a big player change. What do they even mean by evolution?

“when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside..”
Improve what we already have with a few changes here and there. As what we have is so good. What do they even mean by evolution?

Its not surprising if you actually read the article. They are saying we won't sign 10 players. Obviously. Our budget is between 100-150m with outgoings adding to that which is more than enough. A summer of 3-5 players in total makes sense for me, and is realistic. Players we've been linked with in some capacity that I've noticed:
Even this is unrealistic to be honest. I doubt we get more than one midfielder, and we won't get 4 starters. Probably 3 starters (DM, ST and RW hopefully), a backup goalkeeper and a squad player/developmental guy like Timber.
- DM - Tchouameni/Kamara/Phillips?
- CM - De Jong?
- ST - Darwin?
- RW - Antony/Nkunku?
- Defence - Timber/Pau Torres/Kounde?
- GK - Johnstone
I still remember when Hulk Hogan body slammed Luke Shaw at Wrestlemania. It was a defining momentHulk is a real Mancunian

Tielemans is too inconsistent, we need consistency more than anything, we've had too many streaky players in the last decade.Neves/Tielemans are affordable too?

Before Rangnick came in, the mantra on this forum was that the players only needed coaching.
The squad isn't that bad. It just lost direction early in the season and two different managers couldn't drag it back. Hopefully, third time's a charm.
Imo, we don't need a massive clearout beyond the players who were going to leave anyway. There'll still be enough talent here to challenge for 4th place. A handful of additional signings will cement that.
I think the Ralf era has exposed how utterly broken the dressing room is, which runs far deeper than just coaching. Mercenaries brought in on crazy money, players desperate to leave but retained/ renewed then still not paid, still no great coaching (what are Fletcher and Phelan doing....), zero football philopsophy or strategy. The rot is deep, and the source of the infection is the board. It will take time. I have said before we got rid of a lot of decent home grown talents over last few years, replacing them at much higher costs with players who were no better and in many cases worse. This needs to end. Before Rangnick came in, the mantra on this forum was that the players only needed coaching.

Our entire squad is like that. We got players but those players are either not good enough or injury prone. I agree we cannot change the entire team overnight but there are issues that are more pressing than others. IMO that is a full back and midfielder. Striker is important too but Ronaldo can probably bail us out for another season and we can get some minutes from Elanga and Rashford there.Definitely need to do something about a fullback. As others have mentioned maybe he needs to take a look at Laird in preseason. However we would still need another, maybe one who can cover either side or a CB who is cover for a fullback position as well.
What the fans needs to be next season is patient as you simply cannot expect a whole host of changes to the first team to produce consistent results immediately. It's going to take time to settle and form a proper unit, some of the new signings won't work out, some youngsters might not make the grade. Realistically, next season will be the fight for Top 4, the following season when new signings have had 12 months to settle and get used to England/United will be where we'll see proper progress (hopefully).
We will probably see a very erratic first 4/5 months at United. Made worse by the fecking World Cup.
