Playing devil's advocate, how can we have two players, Martial and Haaland, who both expect to start? Not even Liverpool have that depth, they have Origi, Shakiri and Minamimo, who are natural back-ups.
You want multiple forwards expecting to start! That's how you win the league. As you mention, Liverpool has 6 good players fighting for 3 spots. Also, If we compare the depth today with the past five seasons we won the league you see we are lacking. Meaning: by identifying the number of players that would suit the three forward spots. This includes attacking wingers and strikers but not attacking midfielders. Players must have played at least 3 matches. Results:
2012–13: 7 players (Rooney, Berbatov, Chicharito, Welbeck, Van Persie, Giggs, Nani)
2010-11: 9 players (Rooney, Berbatov, Chicharito, Owen, Macheda, Giggs, Nani, Obertan, Bebe)
2008-09: 9 players (Ronaldo, Saha, Berbatov, Rooney, Giggs, Welbeck, Macheda, Tevez, Nani)
2007-08: 6 players (Ronaldo, Saha, Rooney, Tevez, Giggs, Nani)
2006-07: 7 players (Ronaldo, Rooney, Saha, Giggs, Alan Smith, Henrik Larsson, Solskjaer)
