I think some posters are picking at anything EtH says now just so they can have a dig. It's pretty fecking pathetic. This doesn’t make any sense at all unless you’re a wum. Don’t tell me you actually believe someone instructed our players to switch off?
Fair comment. Also conceding late and play starting a poor striker dis not helpVirtually the same tactical mistakes two games in a row is a bit of a worry.

Anyone moaning cause we lost to an Arsenal team that have dropped 9 points all season, away from home, by conceding in the 89th minute, needs to give their head a wobble. Are you gobshites forgetting where we were last season?
Still needs a proper recruitment team and not whatever 10 names on ETH's head.If we get new owners and they open the check book for ETH, league should be scared.
Did you not see McTominays cameo midweek?Arsenal deserved the win.
However the result was decided last Wednesday and at 60 mins today.
Thinking ahead is a prime requirement of a manager. Palace are a physical side, perfect from McTominay. The match today was the chance to get right in the mix for the title. Casemiro should have been rested for today.
At 60 mins United were desperate for a new attacking option, something for Arsenal to worry about. Fred coming on for the useless, no pace, Antony was OK, but Garnacho should have replaced the 'new' useless lump of a forward.
Such decisions distinguish really good managers from the 'good'.

ETH during HT team talk: "Switch off lads, job is done here".Today he talked about players need to not switch off. So who told them to?
Spot on! Can't believe I'm seeing people having a go at Ten Hag, the improvement from last season has been massive. Got to give him time to improve the squad so we're not so reliant on one player like CasemiroAnyone moaning cause we lost to an Arsenal team that have dropped 9 points all season, away from home, by conceding in the 89th minute, needs to give their head a wobble. ETH has been fecking brilliant for this club. The only mistake he’s made has been the 90m spent on Antony. That may set us back a couple of transfer windows.Still needs a proper recruitment team and not whatever 10 names on ETH's head.
His target was FDJ, Gakpo, ffs.. Frenkie would be fine as a signing but club should walked away long before it became obvious that he wasn't joining. Also not ETH's fault that club wasted money on Antony but it's embarasing that they couldn't find a better RW for the same money
Antony should have been replaced by Garnacho and Erikson for Fred.Arsenal deserved the win.

He tried Martinez as a DM at Ajax and he was terrible. If he cannot do it there you would not risk it in the PL. Maybe if Casemiro hadn't done a stupid tackle he might not have got booked. Agree about McTominay, but Fred performs well with Casemiro. I would not trust him with being the lynch pin in my midfield. Garnacho I would have put on earlier. To be very honest, the gripes I have with Ten Hag are more about the decisions and non-decisions that had a direct impact in wasting 5 points out of 6 this week. Let's go through them i no particular order.
Don't take it wrong. I'm glad that Ten Hag took us this far so far. However, honest criticism in the last 2 matches is warranted.
- Leaving Casemiro on against Palace when Fred has played all season as his replacement upon the manager's call. That cost a yellow card and a ban.
- Playing McTominay in both games when that Academy idiot has no clue about delivering the goods and does not have a good enough attitude as a midfielder.
- Waited too long before sending Garnacho on against Arsenal. McTominay + Antony had to make way for Fred + Garnacho.
- Did not play the back 4 from the last few weeks (Shaw at LCB and Malacia at LB) + Martinez as a CDM. Against Arsenal, we needed someone who could keep Odegaard shut when Arsenal have Partey to neutralize Bruno.
DDG is a conundrum. Yes he is a great shot stopper, but if he is wanting to go down the dominating the ball route not sure we can wait for him to get used to using his feet and learning to come for the ball at corners, crosses. He has had his eye on other goalies, but apart from Sommer they are usually what you would class as backups. Think one of the biggest things he did was ditching Ronaldo. It showed authority. There are players who showed improvement but today they also showed they still have weaknesses. Will that have changed his view on some players who he thought could save him a bit of money?I think he's doing a good job so far and the first half in particular was very good in parts. But he's inherited some weak players on the ball starting with the goalkeeper and that will always hamper him going forward due to how he wants to dominate all phases of play. I think with a keeper suited to playing his brand of football and a upgrade in midfield, well see the players in the defensive phase connect defense and attack much more effectively. And those players in the final third will look better than they're currently, because we'll potentially better control possession.
Arteta got rid of both Leno and Martinez to bring in Ramsdale. And many Arsenal fans were perplexed by that decision but it made absolute sense because Arteta wants to dominate the ball and play the game in the opponent's half. It was 3 years in the making, but he's built a team that plays in his image. And ten Hag similarly wants to do the same and I'm confident we'll get their under him in the coming seasons.
The Antony situation looks worse because all of a sudden we lost Sancho when Antony could have been more time to settle.Ten Hag is doing a fine job, just needs some better ingredients to cook with. His pursuit of Antony is looking questionable at the moment but nobody is perfect.
Not totally like them of course but i won't be complaining if Man United became more street wise and use whatever it takes to earn at least a draw.Because they're doing their absolute best not to play football. The clear playing time in their games this season has barely been above 50%, which places them right at the bottom of the PL teams. Surely United fans don't want their club to follow the same path. ETH is right when he speaks about mistakes and mentality. It's not about over relying on one or two players. That is true, but it's beyond the point. We have to learn to win football games by trying to play football.
Casemiro would have subtly launched somebody into Row Z.Not totally like them of course but i won't be complaining if Man United became more street wise and use whatever it takes to earn at least a draw.
Could see that late Arsenal winner coming and nothing was done to slow down or curb their momentum.
Did you not see Saka vs Malacia at OT..To be very honest, the gripes I have with Ten Hag are more about the decisions and non-decisions that had a direct impact in wasting 5 points out of 6 this week. Let's go through them i no particular order.

Gakpo
ETH doesn't evaluate players' price. His fixation on certain players is something to blame but it's club's fault for overpaying mediocre players. With 100mil, we could buy 2-3 players on the same caliber and no one would cry about the lack of depth. The fact they provided him 0 alt speaks volumes.ETH has been fecking brilliant for this club. Doesn't fecking make sense when we have 3 natural left wingers at the club already. If Gakpo played on the right, sure go for it I don't care but he is not.I like how people act like he wanted Gakpo to come be a 40 match starter. Ignores he could have simply wanted him to upgrade the squad depth.

I did, but I also recognize that Malacia has also held his ground against Mahrez just last week after lining up his share of solid performances. Playing 5 Ds against Arsenal would not have been a bad idea when I have seen us beat them with 7 Ds before.Did you not see Saka vs Malacia at OT..
Spot on. I think the posters who got giddy with our run and prematurely called us title challengers are the ones who are being the harshest and loudest now. It is important people realise that getting to the top is a process and not react excessively to wins or defeats. Before kickoff, the vast majority of us (myself included) didn’t expect anything other than an Arsenal win today. It was more hope than expectation that we were going to get anything from this game without our most influential midfielder in Casemiro. With no Casemiro, I think many of us were expecting a hiding from that lot, so to say we’d only lose 3-2 with their late winner coming from an Nketiah toe poke in the last minute from a very tight offside VAR call, I think many of us would have reluctantly taken that.
It’s literally night and day to where we were this time last season. ETH has only been here for 6-7 months and the progress we have made in that time has massively exceeded expectations. I didn’t expect us to be where we are right now, especially after the Brighton & Brentford results/performances. Yes it’s disappointing to lose to that lot but they are top of the league for a reason and that’s something that Arteta didn’t accomplish overnight. It was a long process in which he told everyone to “trust the process” despite the overwhelming majority of their fans calling for his head. Now that process is in full flow and they are reaping the benefits as we can see. Shows you what fans know.
We are going to win games and hit some rough disappointing patches along the way but we need to trust and back ETH as the work he has done in a short space of time is remarkable. It’s not an overnight fix many of our fans are wanting. This club has and was a massive mess before ETH arrived and it was never going to be a quick fix with everything all turning consistently rosy-posy as soon as he stepped through the doors. It’s going to take time as he inherited a poor squad with confidence at a very low ebb. Give the guy time as surely you can see the progress we have made and for the first time since SAF’s retirement, the players believe in his vision. For example, look at Rashford this season and last season. Looks a completely new player. Yes he’s going to make decisions from time to time that upset/annoy us but overall the positives outweigh the negatives one billion fold! He’s new to this league and it’s a learning curve for him too I’m sure he’d say. As we all know the English Prem is a much much tougher league than what he’s been used to with the Eredivisie. He was never going to be perfect from the get-go just like Pep & Klopp weren’t in their opening seasons at City & Liverpool. You are mad to think otherwise.
I think ditching Ronaldo was a step in the right direction and ditching De Gea would also be very beneficial as far as evolving as a proactive attacking unit.DDG is a conundrum.
