This must have scared the crap out of Matic who decided it was time to move on.
Revolution FC is on its way folks.
I said that his league performance was better than LVG and Mourinho. Whether he gets another top job or not, there are quite a lot of reasons for that to happen or not, including his own desire to get another job. I assume he doesn't have financial need to work at this point.
Exactly. The vast majority of players will want to improve. They will want to be successful. The hard thing for managers is getting the buy-in and convincing them their methods will deliver that. These things make me a bit skeptical, I don't really buy into the narrative that a manager like ten Hag isn't what the players want. From memory our core players have been coached by prime Mourinho, Jorge Jesus, Conte, Lucescu, Simeone, SAF or Van Gaal. I have little doubt that they are perfectly fine with a more intense manager and training sessions since that's where most of them thrived.
City also started slowly and they only accumulated 86 points during Ole season compared to 100 points during Mou season. Plus all of other teams got their problems (liverpool injuries, chelsea appointing a donkey as manager, etc). Mou best season points tally would only be 5 points deficit to City during Ole best season. Ole best point tally (74) would place 5th during Mou best season. The points total under Jose was our best since SAF but we were never close to the title, not one bit. Ole was top of the league in the middle of the season. Yes, we finished on less points but we were definitely more in a title race than ever since SAF's retirement.
Me too, please. Can someone point me in the direction of the Ten Hag thread? Feel done with reading about of Ole and Mourinho.
Not really. Its honestly more insane if Liverpool press more than Ajax. There is generally a correlation between the quality and skill of a player and their workrate. Its also easier to train workrate and fitness than it is skill. Thats what makes City and Liverpool so amazing at the moment. They have both highly technical and skilled players who also leave everything on the pitch game after game. Our current players are the opposite. Well, outside their own minds anyway.

I don't see the big deal. Players like Mane and Firminho have always put in plenty into football matches whether at Liverpool or before. It's just about picking players who suit your ethos which is not rocket science. Our current players have been signed by a Mish mash of disappointing mangers who were build for the modern game (like their managers I suppose!).Not really. Yes but after a few years of earning great money and having quite chill training you get used to it.These things make me a bit skeptical, I don't really buy into the narrative that a manager like ten Hag isn't what the players want. Can see donny laughing at mctominay and Fred thinking, we’ll see who starts games week in week out now haha. The players can’t moan now and say they haven’t had proper coaching once ten Hag comes in. I guarantee the first few weeks we’ll see loads of crap coming out saying… players aren’t happy with the intense training etc.

I can't see Donny laughing at anyone given that he's a bang average no mark that spends most of his time hiding from the ball and the rest of it playing one touch backwards or sideways to the nearest player. Fred works his bollocks off - not sure why he's knocked here for his workrate. Can see donny laughing at mctominay and Fred thinking, we’ll see who starts games week in week out now haha. This wasn’t a dig at mctominay or Fred it was mainly a dig at all the managers we’ve had that consistently continue to play them 2 no matter how bad they are. Fred has been great this season to be fair but ten Hag likes to control possession and Fred won’t do that, his passes are sloppy most of the time.I can't see Donny laughing at anyone given that he's a bang average no mark that spends most of his time hiding from the ball and the rest of it playing one touch backwards or sideways to the nearest player. We can’t continue to play a midfield with them 2 in week in week out though if we want to challenge for the league. Fred is a great presser and puts the work in… but we won’t control the midfield with someone who can’t pass a ball.Still haven't made my mind up on Scott, but I don't think Fred is afraid of hard work. He seems to take pride in doing the dirty work. Not a world class CM, but I don't think anyone can slag him off for his work this season.

McTominay and Fred are two of our fittest and hardest working players. Their issues are more down to on the ball than off it and the fact the rest of the team fails to press with them and the rest of the team fail to give them options. We can definitely upgrade them, don’t get me wrong. But the idea that Donny will be smirking because those two wont be able to run enough for ten Hag is way off. They’re both far more industrious than Donny. Can see donny laughing at mctominay and Fred thinking, we’ll see who starts games week in week out now haha. They are their own “source”. That is why it’s called the “Mirror”. They speak into a mirror so they can technically claim someone told them whatever nonsense they’ve decided to publish.Exactly this

I am sorry but why are you putting Fred and McT in one sentence, one is a superb player who could play for any team in the league and another one totally one-dimensional championship player who just works hard, yet is shy to show for the ball for 95 minutes and struggles to cover the ground properly, being average at best defensively.McTominay and Fred are two of our fittest and hardest working players. If you actually read my post you’ll find the answer to that.I am sorry but why are you putting Fred and McT in one sentence, one is a superb player who could play for any team in the league and another one totally one-dimensional championship player who just works hard, yet is shy to show for the ball for 95 minutes and struggles to cover the ground properly, being average at best defensively.
Fred will absolutely play in the starting 11, like he's for us now being one of the most important players, McTominay will be slowly replaced by more technical players, depending on how quickly and efficient we are in the market and if any of the young lads step up.
Donny himself I think will get a chance as an 8 to skip McTominay in the pecking order I think, but he will have to take his head from his arse and start working hard, otherwise even such a nothing player like McTominay can roll over otherwise dutch poor man's Cleverly.
Yep, it's not even a surprise that a people on a football forum believe absolutely every easily made up tweet of tabloid level.More imaginary conversations from the Mirror.
Innit, he hasnt been confirmed yet, but they know about these inner conversations and the ins and outs of transfers.More imaginary conversations from the Mirror.
Time for the sack watch?Given how fast they come up with new stories I wouldn't be surprised to read about the first row he already had with our players.
What a joke. The only reason he got to those semis and that final was because he had all the luck in the world. "Just needed a bit of luck", good grief.Did I say that though? Trophies is all that matters but the place was toxic with mourinho. LVG won a trophy but I bet you wanted rid of him because of his style of play. It took fergie like 4 years or something to win his first trophy as manger, solksjaer got 2 and a halve. I’m certain he’d of won a trophy sooner rather then later, got to like 3 semis and a final, just needed a bit of luck.

He alledgedly already made Rio Ferdinand binge-watch a week of video footage of Ramon Leeuwin (FC Utrecht centre back).
