I think it is too. It’s also fair to wait for the finale. It might be leaked before that though. But I think it’s done regardless of the announcement.
I think this is more important on outgoings than incomings. Managers don't get their first choice all the time, but there's other players who fit the profile/they'll fall onto other options. E.G; Klopp wanted Brandt before he got Salah. Ruben Dias was behind Kounde and Koulibaly in the list for Pep. There's always other players out there who the manager knows/has an idea will fit the way he wants to play.
But what's more important is if he has a player he doesn't want. The club need to back him in removing said player. I think back to the club siding with keeping Martial when Mourinho wanted him gone. Whether rightly or wrongly in that instance, I don't think things like that should be happening again. If Ten Hag/new manager doesn't want a particular player to stay, the club should be assisting in that process.
The United players will love Ten Hag's demands for off the ball running. Unfortunately for Ten Hag the players understanding of off the ball movement is running as far away as they can and hiding from the player who has the ball.
You can just imagine the players in the first training session. “What do you mean I can’t pass the ball to the full back and stand still.”
Also we don't like to run at all so that could feck things up also.

As of now, I do not like any player in the squad, and that includes the earnest types like Fred, Elanga & Bruno, so if EtH sidelines anyone in the current squad, i will support that wholeheartedly

Oh i agree that we've got players who are technically comfortable enough to be able to do it. But the problem has been that barely anyone is confident enough to demand the ball from another player. And any player that has the ball doesn't have many options to play it forward to because no one is showing for it. So it's an endless cycle which just results in us always playing safe passes backwards and sideways and never really look threatening, hopefully Ten Hag changes that though.
De Gea, AWB and Ronaldo are the three players I'd be curious to know ETH's assessment of.
De Gea because he's the atithesis of the type of goalkeeper ETH has generally favoured. AWB because he's the obvious weakness across the backline technically. And Ronaldo because of how little he offers off the ball.

The issue would be around consistency and results. Dropping Ronaldo/Fernandes but starting with Maguire, for example, is going to create issues. Leaving Ronaldo on the bench when we haven't scored in 4 games is going to create issues. Conceding 3 goals three times in a row and starting with Maguire is going to create issues.
I would not just support it but I would expect it. There is practically nothing that you would wish to retain from our current style of play. We need to start again. But what I would also expect some of the names you might think would be turned out might show their worth under this manager.
We are still short about 6 top players to even be decent so I don’t have particularly high expectations for the guy.
I can see some real.excitement next year, based on what I like seeing, I like ETH's football, I like youth development, with match squads getting bigger by two spots and more substitutions permitted I can see a lot of young players getting minutes and chances next year.
