Poor bloke could be in for even less backing under Ratcliffe than the leeches. Wouldn't blame him for walking if that happens in the next few windows
My favourite one is when the majority of posters vehemently criticize the substitutions made by the manager or the time at which they were made...usually after a bad result, as if they know better than the best football managers on the planet. Even bums like Lampard will be 10x the knowledge they'll ever have on any topic related to managing.
Using this logic, we shouldn't even have a forum to discuss anything related to the club.
Of course we should, but some people think they're speaking nothing but facts and even managers with a UEFA Pro License can't see what they are seeing.
For example, a lot of people genuinely believe that Ole was perfectly happy and content with McFred and wasn't going to upgrade our midfield if a good opportunity presented itself.
Are you actually trying to absolve Ole of that? He was here for numerous windows and never ever sought to upgrade our midfield. Clearly he didn't think it was a big issue. He could have even done so in 2021, but he got too enamored with bringing Ronaldo back to United.
I honestly don't understand the lengths some of you go to in order defend the managers from their shortcomings or flaws.
Especially managers that literally achieved nothing for us.
The 'What has Ten Hag done for us?' thread.
Yeah, he inherited a completely undercooked, disillusioned Frankenstein's monster of a squad that had limped through our worst season post-Fergie.
Yeah, he only had one fit striker who wanted to leave, caused a stink and rinsed the club on TV.
Yeah, he got us to two cup finals, the latter stages of a European trophy and took us into the top 4 despite having an awful fixture pile up because of the World Cup and a weak squad that wasn't his doing.
Yeah, he got the likes of Rashford, Shaw, Dalot, AWB playing as well as they've ever played for us.
Yeah, he made OT a fortress again.
Yeah, he beat Barca, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs etc.
Yeah, he's instilled some discipline in the team and they've responded to it.
Yeah he handled the Maguire captaincy issue really well despite taking the player out of the team and building a much meaner defence.
Yeah, we finally won a trophy.
Yeah, his signings have largely been some of our very best performers this season.
Yeah, the matchgoers are fully invested and excited again and it's reflected in a regularly bouncing atmosphere at home games.
Yeah, he's shown Garnacho some tough love and has laid the groundwork for a (potentially) very exciting career.
I'm sure there's more.
And yet some of you genuinely think he should be sacked if we don't make top 4? Absolute fecking idiots.
Agree it’s a start, but I’m not very optimistic at the moment. Couple of years ago we had a very young start line and I wanted United to build a new team (patiently) the same way Arteta did with Arsenal. Instead we started to buy players like Ronaldo, Varane, Casemiro, Eriksen and Weghorst. I’m a great fan of Casemiro and he is a key player, but I don’t think it’s wise to build a new team with players over the top.People keep saying that… but I bet you was also one of the people that was crying out for us to start winning trophy’s and this is just the start…

Some of you really have no clue."Latter stages of European trophy" ? Reaching Quarter final in Europe fecking League now is something worthy to be mentioned under a manager's achievements.
Some of you really have no shame.
that could easily change if we miss out on the CL
How big is today's game though!?The undefeated run leading into the world cup and times after it showed what the squad is capable of, even it being an good but not good enough squad.
But with fixture congestion, injuries, limited time to training due to necessary rest/recovery, suspension, and lack of quality depth, United are heavily limping towards the finish line.
Somehow, United have 1 more game to lose and still have their top 4 fate in their hand. 9 points from 12 is doable but with the goal shy players and recent goal scoring drought, it's a tough ask.
hard to know what the budget will be based on the club being up for saleIt very well could but then look at who we've signed last summer. Paying big bucks and being Utd helps massively, which may be relative, if the transfer budget rumours for this summer is to be true.

What a winner you areCouldn’t care less.. Have forgotten the name of that cup or third tier trophy.
We are massive
His favouritism towards Antony is embarrassing, while his decisions regarding Weghorst are inexplicable.
We are massive
Very silly post. We never put a bid on the table for Nunez or Gakpo in the first place.Except Nunez, De Jong, Gakpo, Bellingham and so on.
I'd like to see him change things up this week. I accept that he's not had as much time to prepare the team for games with the number of midweek matches we play but there's no such excuse for this week.
I'm kind of tired of seeing the same players starting games, followed by the same subs at same points in the game.
When young players like Martial, Sancho, Depay joined people accused the club for skimp.Agree it’s a start, but I’m not very optimistic at the moment. I support ETH and don’t want to replace him now. Don’t think any other manager will do much better, because most people want quick fixes and immediate success. If someone had stopped the Ronaldo transfer and made the right transfers, summer 21, I’m pretty sure we had challenged City and Arsenal this season or the next season.
You mean one who hasn’t played 1 min in 18 months and a big portion of the fans don’t want him anywhere near the club? It’s time we move onAfter the Wehorst experiment and foolishly relying on Martial, Ten Hag needs to realize he has a proper finisher sitting at home right now who we have under contract.
We should be doing it even more than we do now. Man City have tons of long range shots and they've been fairly successful over the last few league seasons. Why are we still shooting from distance? How has he not addressed that?

Don’t want him personally. Doesn’t matter how good he wasYeah that guy. The united spaces I’m on the general consensus is they want him back. Although it’s a small sample. I think he solves a lot of problems for us especially with every decent striker valued at over 100 million.
Will be sacked mid-way through next season if we carry on playing like this
