There are enough videos of current top managers going ballistic, so…Different times really. Things change. A lot has changed in workplace dynamics for the last 20 years.

Why?I would have Ruud over any other striker coach in the world. Maybe there's a brilliant one out there we've never heard of, but Ruud is no pussywillow when it comes to getting the job done...whatever the job is. Splitting logs in Scandinavia, wrestle alligators in Louisiana, or bringing down the Taliban once and for all, unleash the Dutchman.
And if he's the immediate stand in manager in the event ETH has to be sacked, why not?
These fecking players will finally learn their lessons. So we're going from Bad Cop/Bad Cop in ETH and Van der Gaag, to Bad Cop/Bad Cop/Bad Cop/Bad Cop... Well that'll help detoxify the dressing room
Why? Look him on YoutubeWhy?
Ok Nostradamus. Interesting that you have so much inside knowledge, probably based on a couple of short clipsSo we're going from Bad Cop/Bad Cop in ETH and Van der Gaag, to Bad Cop/Bad Cop/Bad Cop/Bad Cop... Well that'll help detoxify the dressing room
There's no videos of him being the 'best striker coach we could get' on YouTube. Why? Look him on Youtube
so...doesn't mean it should be considered normal behaviorThere are enough videos of current top managers going ballistic, so…
after a month we will get leaks about players 'underwhelmed with training methods'We do have some snowflakes in our team, so seeing how everything comes ahead between new assistant coaches and some of the players will be interesting.
Playing skill doesn't always translate to coaching skills. Why? Look him on Youtube
Whilst that is true, Ruud was an exceptional, versatile striker. Just his experience can be top notch, I have more faith in him than McCarthyPlaying skill doesn't always translate to coaching skills.
Well it depends what we want from him. Hojlund biggest (only?) strength is his finishing. So, in my mind, we should be looking for a complete opposite type of "player/coach".I would have Ruud over any other striker coach in the world. But it also shows that not every top coach is only a nice guy nowadaysso...doesn't mean it should be considered normal behavior
You can. The trick is to know when to do it and when not to. Being nicey nice gets you nowhere. You think that Pep and Klopp are all smiles when things aren't working?

But they don’t go to matches. They probably don’t watch games. They tap in messages to phones. It’s about themselves. I know there are shills and bots and all sorts of needy people whinging from the refuge of forum anonymity. But a good half of this place are United supporters in name only.We are notoriously known to be one of the most hated fanbases in the game. There is a minority of our fanbase can understand why - seem to be happy if we fail to prove they were right.
There are a lot of “ten haag out fans” who wouldn’t mind us struggling at the start of the season and that culture is rotten
Ever watch the Wrexham series? Their manager, every second word is a swear.Actually, joke or not, i agree with @Unam333 . I am all for yelling in general to make a point but screaming at someone (and throwing insults at him) is a no go. If i was that player, no way i would let them (managers) do that shit. Guy is an idiot.
Imagine your boss at work doing that to you. Would you be ok with it? Football is not an army, ffs.
Why?Ruud isn’t going to give up the chance to manage Burnley to be a striker coach.
I‘m not sure what to make of these developments. Hake seems tough and Ruud is no cupcake either (stubborn Dutch bastard too).
Maybe it‘s been decided more discipline is needed in training.
Phil “Fecking” ParkinsonEver watch the Wrexham series? Their manager, every second word is a swear.
You must be expecting big things from the Plymouth strikers under Rooney.Whilst that is true, Ruud was an exceptional, versatile striker. Just his experience can be top notch, I have more faith in him than McCarthy

Henry is a good example where a top player was a terrible coach, because he was a top player. You must be expecting big things from the Plymouth strikers under Rooney.
Rooney was manager, RvN will be COACH of strikers. You must be expecting big things from the Plymouth strikers under Rooney.
Rooney was manager, RvN will be COACH of strikers.
Look he might end up being great for us but people referencing videos of RvN PLAYING is pretty much irrelevant to how good a COACH he is.Rooney was manager, RvN will be COACH of strikers.
Can you stop insinuating his remit is limited to strikers.Rooney was manager, RvN will be COACH of strikers.
What Parkinson does is "positive" yelling, typical for sports. He is yelling in general and not targeting specific player. What this idiot does is completely different.Ever watch the Wrexham series? Their manager, every second word is a swear.
I think whether he was successful as a manger is totally irrelevant for us, as he will have a different role here. What Parkinson does is "positive" yelling, typical for sports. He is yelling in general and not targeting specific player. What this idiot does is completely different.
He's giving up the chance to manage Burnley to become the caretaker first team coach of Manchester United around Christmas.Ruud isn’t going to give up the chance to manage Burnley to be a striker coach.
This take is mental, he did not want to be first team coach of PSV and certainly isn‘t going to be interim of the biggest club in the world. He's giving up the chance to manage Burnley to become the caretaker first team coach of Manchester United around Christmas.
Take it as it was intended then, as a joke. This take is mental, he did not want to be first team coach of PSV and certainly isn‘t going to be interim of the biggest club in the world.
Disappointing lack of fish puns about Mr Hake.
Was he recommended by David Gill?

May tip the scales in your favour and net a CL plaice.Bagging this coach might prove to be a real prize catch for the skipper!
I thought they were saying the issue with VDG is that he and ETH had a "bad cop / bad cop" dynamic, and so it would make sense to replace him with an "arm around the shoulders" type assistant who's known for communication with the players. Doesn't seem like the case, going by this.
