If we are talking about ONLY those 2 in isolation then you could say that perhaps Poch might be better at developing the younger players whereas perhaps Tuchel may be better at handling the expectations of a club like United

This should be the tradeoff the club is deliberating in a couple of weeks.

Although I guess the biggest thing of all should be - which of Poch and Tuchel's football best fits with what Ashworth wants.

Poch leaving seems to have kicked off a domino effect of briefings.

Whether or not this is happening, DiMarzio is not someone I would consider my "go to" to break Manchester United manager news. Clearly just trying to be the guy that says he was first.

There can be zero complaints, it's been a horror show of a season and there was no hope of him turning things around IMO. Hopefully he moves swiftly into another job and gets to rebuild his reputation.

How could he know that, unless someone like RDZ has told him he's one of the managers being tapped up to replace him...?

Maybe a genius Ten Hag play to trick Ineos into backing him.

Hope it’s true. Would genuinely be the second best moment of season, only behind Liverpool game.

Di Marzio is chancing here, and the likelihood to guess correctly is pretty much 100%.

But I'd be very disappointed if of those names the club picks Pochettino. I really don't rate him, even back when it was between him and Ten Hag.

Honestly I find it hard to see him staying, FA cup or not

He has shown himself to be unable to judge a player based on his signings..... there is the caveat of the lack of a football structure but if they say we can get you Antony but it's going to be 80m Ten Hag should have the common sense to say no.

There have been issues with the squad and whilst the likes of Sancho is certainly no model of professionalism by the sounds of things there were periods where Varane wasn't getting picked for whatever reason. It certainly felt like/sounded like it wasn't the happiest of dressing rooms and the man seems to lack charisma in managing these players.

Injuries have been horrendous but there is an issue with training and coaching given the huge number of muscle injuries suffered surely to some extent. Based on that interview where Ten Hag explained why we sent Reguillon back, leaving us since December without a leftback, is comical - there must be serious communication issues between the physio/medical team and the manager. Ten Hag isn't on it in this regard.

The tactics have been shocking. How on earth can we expect to compete for anything given the amount of shots we have given up. Brighton with slightly better finishing would have beaten us at weekend and that game summed us up. When we've won it hasn't been due to any kind of dominance....more about us taking chances better in our shootout. I struggle to see how having Luke Shaw or Martinez fit for longer period would have helped with the lack of midfield presence.

The big defence of Ten Hag is the Glazers system, the injuries and the idea of sticking with a manager under a new regime. I'm not sure it's enough. Does Ten Hag have it in him to turn this around? I'm not sure

I'm talking generally to be honest, Rashford could be unfortunate in that his periods out of form (which last for 12-18 months) seem to coincide with the manager losing his job, but I'm saying any player that's shite now and was shite for Ole, doesn't need another chance, as tempting as saving the cash would be.

Dalot, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, Varane, Wan Bissaka, McTominay, Bruno, Rashford, Martial.

The group of players who were here 2 years ago is ever dwindling. Varane and Martial are already confirmed to be leaving.

Dalot, Maguire, Bruno and McTom have been favourites of Ten Hag this season.

Shaw, Lindelof and Wan Bissaka have been injuried to varying degrees this season.

You forgot the big man also, Klopp! But seriously, there's plenty of options and there always have been. The 'there's no better option available' line has been bullshit for the best part of 6 months now. Some surprise names available in the market now though for sure.

To be fair it's bullshit at virtually any point in time for a club like Manchester United.

Remember when Di Marzio was the go to guy?! Feels like this story is just taken with a pinch of salt.

I doubt that, given the fact the new management team is not yet assembled and hence not necessarily fully empowered to take some decisions. Given that ETH is only on a 3 year contract and the world and his wife knows that its going to take much longer than that to get the Manchester United 'juggernaut' back to where it expects to be. I've no doubt if ETH can get the right club/situation and with some years of PL experience behind him and he is allowed to 'do things his way' he will be successful elsewhere... but will it be at the level required at this club?

There is no 'silver bullet', the worst thing (IMO) is to rush into anything just now... as that would be a level of incompetence to take your breath away and lead to tears before bedtime in many United fans households, including mine!

A lot of fans dont know or care about that, there's people on here and social media that think Ratcliffe, Ineos, Ashworth etc are all incompetent before they've even got their feet under the desk.

I don't know id Erik will be able to translate his success in Holland to a top league, I wish him all the best when he does leave. But I think at this stage there's mounting evidence that he's not a great fit for Manchester United or the Premier League.

@Berbaclass

I just wanted to notify you that I saw the latest positive/negative news. I'm not ignoring it.

@Berbaclass I replied to the positive news. But when the bitter ABU English media contradict it tomorrow, I will ignore it. Please call me out on it and tell me how to act Dad

Not the right time for this news to break. Hopefully we have some rebuttals before Sunday. After that they can break this news if its true.

Tbf, I probably would have preferred the news didn't break before the final. Don't need the distractions. I do believe he's done though

You think it'll make the players perform worse? Personally this it could help.
