Pep may take it easy, score a goal and then play keep ball, if he thinks that keeps E.T.H. around for another season one less rival to worry about.
Doubt. He could have easily done it in their first game at OT this year, they could have easily scored more if they wanted but took it easy. Likewise the 6-3 loss last year, we were 6-1 down with plenty of time left and they could have gone maybe even for double digits but they basically stopped playing at 6.No. He will want to humiliate us.
I'd be worried if behind the scenes United literally still haven't decided what they're going to do
If they plan to keep him, what could possibly happen in the next 10 days to change their mind and sack him? And if they plan to sack him, what could possibly happen in the next 10 days to change their mind and keep him?
They already have enough to make up their minds surely.

FA Cup final. This could be the difference.I'd be worried if behind the scenes United literally still haven't decided what they're going to do

They annihilated us in both games this season, just didn’t reflect that in a scoreline as we got respectable results in both games by our standards.Having seen the things he said about Ole, Maguire etc, I'm convinced Pep is trolling us. And I wouldn't be surprised if he takes mercy on us when we play them to try and kid us into thinking we're not far away. When you see City against most other teams, you know they'd blow us away if they wanted to. Instead they play keep ball for the majority of the game once the win is sealed.
Another Jamie Jackson revelationI really despise bollocks articles like this. Are we supposed to believe that Brailsford or Ratcliffe are taking these calls?
"What's the latest on Ten Hag then?"
"Pfft, 50-50 at the moment, and yes you can print that"
Possibly but I'd say it's a big call judging it on one match. The only acceptable explanation I could think is that Wilcox is doing a review before making the decision and has come in too late to complete it any sooner than the end of this month. And that United already broadly know who'd replace Erik if they decide to change.FA Cup final. This could be the difference.
I hope so. All the best run clubs will surely know by now who their manager will be next season and are very advanced into planning the transfer window etc with him. June seems too late to be deciding all that. Also no news has come out to suggest who will be IDing our targets this summer, so I have to assume United will be letting the manager have a big say in that again. At this point we're all just hoping these sort of stories are just bollocks at this stage. Whether you are for or against the sack, indecision like that isn't a good look at this stage. If we get to the summer and it's still going on then I think many will lose some faith in Ineos.
You would assume also certainly so.His future has surely already been decided and will be announced after the Cup.
who do you think will be the United manager in a month from now?50-50 my arse, they've decided to sack him. A lot of smoke in the past few days, particularly with links to other managers - they are sounding out replacements.
A month from now? I'm guessing Ten Hag will be officially gone and the club are in discussions with Tuchel.who do you think will be the United manager in a month from now?

Seems quite late The first pre-season match kicks off exactly 2 months from today. So they'll probably start training in the first week of July.A month from now? I'm guessing Ten Hag will be officially gone and the club are in discussions with Tuchel.
Well I guess not, but United aren't going to be leaving themselves a long time at all to ID, negotiate with (which will take longer if he has a club) & then get a new manager settled in before pre season, if they don't start that process until JuneTuchel or Potter, as I see it.
I don't think it really matters though, and I don't really think the decision should be hinging too heavily on the replacement.
If they've decided performances have been poor enough to warrant the sack, then that should be that.
Mr Ten Hag... he's the devil. He's smarter than you, he's luckier than you.50-50
He can't keep getting away with it!
I don't think even winning the FA Cup will keep him from being sackedHis future has surely already been decided and will be announced after the Cup.

I'd think a businessman like Ratcliffe would know by now either way
They will only come to appreciate ETH when he's gone.A bird in hand is worth two in the bush

I honestly don't know what to expect in terms of transfers and succession planning in the short term. This will be our first transfer window under INEOS. They have been quite decisive in their changing of staff up until now. I think they have decided to move on from Ten Hag. Maybe they do have an agreement with Tuchel already.Seems quite late The first pre-season match kicks off exactly 2 months from today. So they'll probably start training in the first week of July.
Do you not think the manager will have any say in the transfer window?

It could even be a quiet window in terms of incomings. If we are not in Europe the focus should be on trimming the fat in the squad. A few solid Premier League proven incomings, some youth / potential signings, and one or two opportunistic free signings if they become available.I think the transfers could be a very mixed bag in terms of "success rate" this summer. The main things will be not overpaying and moving the poor signings along quickly.
My guess is he's gone but they don't want to announce it until after the FA Cup final in case it unsettles the team.
They've had since Feburary, this dithering is taking the mick.Agree. What really can he do in 3 games?
If we beat City in the FA Cup final, it will be because of a backs to the wall defensive performance (like Liverpool away) then nicking a goal.
What does that tell us about his coaching?
It's not looking like it.Hopefully Berrada, Ashworth and Wilcox already have a manager in mind and a list of transfer targets to establish a new style of play for Man Utd. This is the new beginning.
The pace SJR is implementing changes in other area of the club are seen to be ruthless and efficient. Hope it will be the same for football side where they already have a clear plan moving forward.
