You can see why over 50% of people want him to manage the final, Erik is a great entertainer.

Is it that hard to judge?

Holland
Garnacho Mount Antony
Eriksen Mainoo
Wan-Bissaka Casemiro Evans Dalot
Onana

There’s a few injuries, but nowhere near enough to explain being conceding four goals to Crystal Palace by 66 minutes.
To be fair that's a rubbish team, young inexperienced players mixed with average players that were bought mixed with old washed players

It's on EtH though that we've ended up with this kind of team even with injuries

I read some Arsenal fans being happy while watching this as they can't wait to humiliate us. I wouldn't be so happy, this might result in Ten Hag sack and they might get hit with good old new manager bounce.
This was my precise fear. Bruno gets appointed as Interim Player-Manager and bags a hat trick.

Let’s just say that we are reverting to the mean, our performance this season has been of a team in the lower half of the table and we will finish close to 10th

Genuine question did anyone look at the back line available tonight and think “we’re going to do well today?”
Genuine question. Did you look at the team and say, yup a 4-0 pasting sounds about right.

We're getting played off the park and losing 4-0 to 14th place Crystal Palace and this is not a one off. It's up to the manager to tweak the tactics to save us from an embarrassment but he's done nothing there and the way we've set up tonight is a disgrace.

feck give it to ole for a month if we want tuchel or amorim. We cannot go into the cup final like this it could be reputation ending obliteration
Ole is probably the only manager I trust to get us a result against pep.

We’ve had a lot of ‘this is the worse it’s been since SAF’ moments in recent years but it’s never been this bad. 8th and looking like the worst coached side in the league

These things don't need to be and shouldn't be mutually exclusive. The wheels should be turning in the background getting the place cleaned out.

At the same time ETH has completely lost the team and can take it no further.

I hope you are right, but in the past all we have seen is a manager leaving resulting in "everyone gets a clean slate".

It is a bit scary that people so adamant Ten Hag has to get another season couldnt predict this when it's been so obvious.

We've deserved a hammering in a lot of games this year and been astonishingly lucky to avoid them for the most part.

I was saying this a few months ago when the sycophants were saying that xPts do not matter and we are just x points below fourth and will easily catch up.

We are a bottom half team that was extremely lucky.

Club needs a Chelsea style clearout and a brand new start next year. The entire squad needs to be demolished. Its the only way unfortunately We have postponed this open heart surgery for more than a decade and its has royally screwed us as a result. The time for the surgery is now. Fire sale from the day after the final.

Yes.

CBs with an average age of 34, one of whom is actually a CB (and is clearly not match fit)

A CM duo of Mainoo and Eriksen.

You’re absolutely right 4-0 was on the cards.

It can't be overstated how catastrophic this guy has ultimately been for us. Regressed, spent crazy amount on duds, team's completely shot, some of our heaviest defeats ever in the prem, and fan standards are on the floor.

Incredible really.

Do the cultists @VP89 @BenitoSTARR @Berbaclass enjoy this?
First, don't call me a cultist.

Second, your life must be pretty sad to try and put down fellow fans just to give a dick jibe on a managerial stance.

Third, I said I don't mind him getting sacked ages ago, well before this game or the Burnley game.

Genuine question did anyone look at the back line available tonight and think “we’re going to do well today?”
Absolutely not. I've seen enough (far too much) this season. I predicted a pasting this morning.

@Plant0x84 said we were going to put on 'a performance' though.

It’s Crystal Palace. I’d have thought we’d be on the front foot against a team safe in mid table and probably planning their summer jollies.

Ole is probably the only manager I trust to get us a result against pep.

Looking online theres a long list of coaches available, whether theyd take a short Hiddink style role, I dont know

Flick
Low
Scolari
Sarri
Mourinho
Blanc
Kovac
Benitez
Favre
*Zidane
*Potter

*could consider longer deal

I have found really difficult to explain even basic statistics and probability to the average dude.

So hard to judge, the squad is weak at full strength but with these injuries it's impossible.
That being said, surely he could have gotten some legs on the pitch even if it was from the youth setup. To start Eriksen in midfield whilst you have Casemiro and Evans at CB is beyond belief.
What is so frustrating is that we keep hearing these stories about injuries, which when you put the results to one side and the disappointment of some really dour performances, to one side, you got to accept it. However letting Reguillon end his stint early was criminal, Letting Martinez back on the pitch, when he should be nowhere near it baffles the mind. Both positions supposedly fundamental to ETH's system.

The signings of Erikssen, Amrabat, Mount, Casimerio look and play worse than McFred. (Mount I still think will add some depth to the squad to allow Bruno to be rotated)

What I really do not get though if this is a 3 year process then surely you have to be honest and say ok with all the injuries, a sports science and medical department who are not fit for purpose, ok this is a 4 year rebuild. This year with all those injuries surely a manager of this experience, he has to say, ok park the style I want, we got to adapt here. Be difficult to play against , dont concede silly goals etc. I dont see any of that. Literally every goal comes from a CF (Apart from Nunez) running the channel and its a cut back to the edge of the box. The defensive part of the game is non existent from players outside the back 4

His position is untenable and the scrutiny will only increase for INEOS the longer he remains in charge. He should go after the whistle has been blown.

I looked at the manager and knew we weren’t going to do well today. Just like we haven’t all season. From day 1 of pre-season we’ve looked like a mess.

The lineup is irrelevant at this point.
