Non of them and in all honestly I didn’t like any of them. I do like Erik though and I hope he is given the support he needs to turn this around.

this is bigger than a managerial change. We need to try something different and actually BACK a manager. No matter how bad it gets, it will take time, it will get ugly, it won’t be pretty. We knew this. We have known this for a long time. Once the rot is cleared and it’s a totally different team/squad/set up, then the excuses run out.

Let them have their new saviour, and watch them devour him soon enough. I'm with you, it's going to take a leap of faith from upper management for anybody to succeed because I just don't see how any realistic potential new manager will survive this 24/7 coverage.

Some like to jump through hoops to point out all the other factors while ignoring the obvious elephant in the room. A common denominator with all our post-Fergie appointments is that none of them have been remotely good enough to take us further than a second rate cup or, a distant second place finish.

I will be fine with giving ETH another season if he doesn’t start Anthony again or Rashford when he returns from his injury. But fat chance that will happen.

Yep, there have been systematic problems above them for sure. Recruitment has been crap but then we have mostly given managers control over targets so they've have to share in blame for that.

Despite how poorly the club has been run, a top manager given the control and the resources the last 5 have received would have did a lot more with them than we've managed since 2013.

It's the exact opposite. Today was the first coherent team performance in a while and it looked like we had a decent philosophy. SHU had two fluke goals out of nowhere.

The team knew exactly what they were doing and found Bruno / the wingers in space plenty of times. That's why we scored four.

Plenty of data to back it up. (Shots, touches in penalty box, shots allowed by the other team, threat created, 10+ pass sequences, PPDA etc.). Anyone who watches that game and thinks that's justification for Ten Hag out needs to get their head checked.

Well yeah, I literally alluded to other factors in my previous post. Our managers not being good enough and the club being a fecking mess aren't mutually exclusive.

Liverpool's owners were derided until Klopp came along. Suddenly, no Liverpool fan cared about them anymore.

Not to take anything away, but this Sheffield United defense is on its way to being the worst defense in Premier League history. Probably has quite a bit to do with that as well.

There was definitely a difference today, even if it was just against Sheffield United. I think if we didn't have a makeshift defence we would've won that game even more comfortably, 4-0 maybe.
 
I like Erik but tonight might have been the last straw. Why does he tell Onana to put opposition players clean through on goal?

And I hate how he instructs every attacking player to shoot straight at the goalie when clean through. Could hear him shouting at Dalot when he was one on one, too, totally unfair because Dalot had every right to take half an hour before lining up his shot.

Bet he doesn’t have the guts to reprimand Bruno for shooting with his left when the ball back to Harry was on.

Not to mention Rashford and Martial seen parked outside McDonalds tonight (on double yellows) after sulking out of the squad through feigned injuries. Completely out of touch with this talented squad of ours.

Give it Dyche ‘til end of season. A bald man you can trust.

I agree - in my mind he told Ten Hag results be damned, the season is over, present the football you would ideally like United to play. We're smart enough to not be reactionary if we see progress.

They also had the recruitment though, Klopp didn't just do it with substandard players. They bought extremely well because of the people above Klopp. There is that story about the club pushing Salah on him when he wanted Brandt...
 
I very much doubt that whatever happens now will make any difference to Ineos plans for the manager at the end of the season.

I wouldn't read anything of beating a wretched SU side at home. By virtue of having far superior players, we were always going to win.

Turn what around? He is the reason we need to "turn around", he burned 400 million and we are worse than when he started, all our lines have problems. He is the main cause of our problems.
 
Some United fans want this chaos to continue for another season. As Logan Roy would say, you're not serious people.

Our performances at Old Trafford under him have been relatively decent under him, even at times this season. Then the away games come against literally anybody and we get absolutely pummeled all over the pitch.

Doesn't work like that mate. They have to apply themselves. To their credit, they did tonight for the most part.

Yes, they had Edwards who was behind that. But, let's be honest, Klopp, like Fergie, made players play well above their true levels. He's clearly a top manager. Unfortunately, we still haven't hired a manager of that calibre post-Fergie.
 
Such a poor manager, even against SU we were still too open. Thankfully SU are one of the worst teams and have no hope of staying up.
