But apparently Ashworth and Wilcox will identify more suitable players for Ten Hag's system than Ten Hag, because they know Ten Hag's system better than Ten Hag. It's incredible logic
Clearly ETH doesn't know who is best for his system here with all the power, whereas Llungberg did at Ajax.

Yikes.

Our players are something else

Nah lads let’s give him next season, he’s cooking up something spectacular.

He didn't walk out. The press conference was over before the question was asked, hence why Erik was half off his seat. United's PR was telling him it's done.
If the press conference was over then why did he leave while saying he wasn’t willing to comment? The journalists also seem to think he walked out. So were you there?

You have to worry that the under performing players will now switch to holiday mode.

When you have 17 L’s on your record for the season. The only slim hope of keeping your job, is if you have the players on your side.

Job is beginning to look impossible.

If it was over why give the journo a mic to speak? Usually the press officer announces it's over.

20 shots conceded

“Yeah but they were low quality chances, we forced them to shoot”

“Dont be so negative for god sake, we just got a draw away from how go and enjoy that first before you come in here with your negative talk”

Great game! The Athletic guys will be thrilled because we controlled the game with 57%!! O yes you read that right.

We are still on target for a 68 point finish. Our next big game is in 4 weeks time. We don't play PL for another 10 days. Then we have a lot of home games, to school Howe and his magic band for once and for all. I'm looking forward to that. Strange that Garnacho didn't perform. Casemiro is very bad. This game could have ended very badly but we scored 2 and again showed spirit. Ifirmly believe in ETH. I liked Dialo btw. Rashford and Bruno for once not entirely low but good? No.
What are you smoking these days?

Yes, seems to be so. Doesnt change that your comment makes no sense at all though.

There are many, and i mean a lot, of reasons to sack ETH but winning a game and pretend that his only win in a long time was all down to penalties is unfair. That was a deserved win. Atleast come up with a good reason, like that 1-1 draw against Brentford. That game should have been the largest loss out of all those games for example. That could/should have been 5-0 to Brentford. The 2-0 Everton win was a normal result.
I mean, it wasn’t really. It was a win that really could’ve gone either way. The xG for that game was 2.85 vs 1.78, so if you take out the penalties, we created an xG of around 1.2~ish.

We created fewer shots (15) against Everton’s (23), fewer big chances missed (0) against their (1). We also just about edged 1% more possession than Sean Dyche’s side. At home.

If it was a “deserved win” it sure was clutching to the edges of “deserved”.

Where's this Dalot disagreement?
He talked in his post-match interview about how it's a "concern" that we're conceding so many shots, and that we might need to be more compact and not leave as many gaps between defence and midfield. Ten Hag has repeatedly refused to acknowledge that it's a problem, claiming (wrongly) that we're conceding low-quality shots.

There are also murmers on X about Antony's absence being not due to injury but a (football-related) disagreement ...

In the last 10 games we’ve conceded 20+ shots every game

but as ten hag says it doesn’t matter at all.

even if we’ve conceded 100 shots in the last 4 games it’s fine, because we only conceded 11 goals in those games and have 2 points out of a possible 12 to show for it…. Oh wait

He actually let himself die on the Rashford hill.
Silly dutch man.

Subbing off Garnacho and giving 90 to Rashy is the dumbest thing he's done lately in a big pile of dumb decisions.

Interesting. I think the players only now have started to get fed up with him. I can't really blame them.

We do have a cup final to play for, especially if Chelsea beat City. I would hope the players still stay on board for that at least.

It's pretty much over if he's lost Garnacho now. Can't believe Garnacho would lose it over those quotes though- there's barely anything there from what i recall of the interview. He just said the right side wasn't working in shape or discipline.

Shots don't lose you games, goals do - Michael Owen

68 points. Get in!
Yeah, 68 points by itself should be sack-worthy. But to reach 68 points we need to win the remaining 6 matches, something we have never done under EtH.

We are on course for a 59-point season. However, considering how shit we have recently been even for our standards (6 points in the last 7 matches), we will probably end with around 55 points.

Worst manager in the last 30 years. Worse than Moyes and Rangnick because he also wasted 400 million. He has failed in every aspect of football management.

He should have been fired after the 7-0 to Liverpool. Do you think that Real Madrid would keep their manager after losing 7-0 to Barca? I don't know why we are so tolerant with under-performing managers.

I don’t understand the rashford sucking up at all.

He actually dropped him earlier in the season. He started sending a message. But now he’s completely reversed on it, and since new year he’s been a mainstay despite abysmal performances and Garnacho and Antony out working him and also having more threat

I have a bit of sympathy on the day. He was bold and put Willy in, unfortunately Willy didn’t perform on the day and spent most of the evening wriggling about

Thing is, Garnacho has bailed him out a lot. He get's hauled off at half time, replaced with Amad who did nothing, whilst Rashford continues to be awful getting a full 90. He's then blamed by ETH in the presser. I can't say I don't feel for him.
