As mentioned a couple days ago; we're this rubbish by design.

Players are following his instructions, but the instructions lead to appalling football. The man is too stubborn to change and simply must be removed from the club

Don't understand the need to wait for a goal and repeat the same shit. He failed, he is also a decent guy by all accounts (same as Ole) and should get some respect.

I don’t think he should be on the end of name calling, but his posture and “don’t care” attitude is infuriating in the face of yet another poor performance.

Respect is earned and people have every right to be angry about just how badly we play week in, week out and how little he seems to adapt. Acting the hard man in the face of it all is needlessly inflammatory when he deserves to be criticized for it.

How can you concede so many shots, whilst having absolutely no shots of your own?!?

This is indefensible now, he’s a dead man walking for sure.
Valid point actually. We high press with 6 offensive players but we don't get anything in return unfortunately. It's a suicidal tactics. Either play a complete open game and score goals or play defensive and do a counter.

He's just not the guy. Amorim or McKenna for me. Roll the dice on a young coach with a discernible style.

I must admit I will be absolutely delighted to see him go, hopefully he does well elsewhere but we may as well have Moyes in the dugout, this is no different to how we were in that first season post SAF.

Sweet Christ.

The Old Trafford crowd is incredibly patient with managerial mediocrity. The crowd pressure alone would have seen him sacked at another big club.

"He's why Mainoo has developed so quickly"

Well, right now his awful tactics are physically knackering Mainoo and confusing him in every game, risking injury and hurting his performances.
Development of young players is always the last line of defense that's spouted here for all our failed managers, as if the players wouldn't otherwise have been able to break through to the first team.

Moyes was praised for Januzaj's breakthrough
LVG was praised for Rashford and all the random no-name youth players he gave playing time to
Mourinho was praised for Lingard's breakthrough
Ole was praised for Greenwood, McT, and Williams

Glad Sir Jim is watching this and the Chelsea game, Shocking performance summed up by Kobie not having a clue who hes to mark on a liverpool corner

An interim manager, even a nobody would be better than this guy. It’s absolutely ridiculous to give him time till end of the season just for the sake of it.

We are not a great team but no one can tell me that a good manager can’t get us to be better than what we are correctly producing. Neville is about to have an aneurysm

It’s all pretty embarrassing for him at this point. The whole world can see how inept his tactics are yet he’s persisting in what can only now be seen as a sabotage job

I detested Ole and Jose's tactics but I honestly have no idea wtf football we are playing under ETH this season.

Here’s my argument.

If he doesn’t want players making stupid decisions with the ball and wants to coach and force them to be more careful with it, he has Mount, Antony & Eriksen on the bench who are all pretty careful in possession and should show these players that being so slack on the ball won’t be accepted.

Will he? I doubt it, he’s probably delighted it’s 0-1. Fingers crossed though

Yep and it was utter bullshit every time.

Another completely unforgiveable half of football from us. Yet, our manager dismisses any criticism of his tactics. Should have been sacked long ago. It's really fecking simple. If you have anything resembling a functioning tactical setup, you won't be humiliated half the time you step on the pitch.

If only we had Martinez/Shaw...this pitifully uncoached team might be world beaters!!

The 'give him longer' mob will still be decrying its not the manager but the structure!
Build up is an issue whether you agree or not. No passes are coming to midfield from the defence because Liverpool is letting our CBs have the ball. They know we aren't good enough on the ball. So the only option for CBs is to pass the ball outwide to our wingers which by itself is suicidal. You miss one pass, they counter with more players.

First time we haven’t had a shot at old Trafford in the first half in almost ten years
how can people defend this ffs

Yes, it is so strange mentality. Not giving up and having belief.. why is that the case looking at our history? Munich, Busby, Fergie.. Why are we the only fanbase who doesn't boo and shit on the manager hoping it will turn things around.

Who are you even talking to? Fanbase here can't wait to get him sacked. If true fanbase, then it is the best away support in the country.

Have fun.

Matt Busby was hired 80 years ago, Fergie 40 years ago. Football has moved on.
You evolve or go extinct, it’s clear some would rather die than betray traditions but you can’t expect everyone to follow suit.

You must be mad to think that there’s no-one out there who can replace him, when we perform like this.

Even in the 90s when the roles were reversed, Liverpool still looked like they could give us a game and potentially beat us no matter if they had comprehensively lost to some relegation fodder at Anfield the previous week and were sitting in midtable.

Honestly, even if there isn't an interim manager who could do better, we should still sack him to at least signal that there are standards that need to be met.

He is simply a shite "technician".
His "pass back to goalkeeper who kicks it to the midfield" kick-off protocol simply makes no sense at all.
His "tight straight line" set piece defence shape allows opponents to shoot for infinite times

We have played 25 minutes down 1-0 and not managed to have a sniff at home. Old Trafford is completely dead because everyone is expecting 2-0 any moment

Antony has arguably the best game of his utd career, and then gets dropped the following game for someone that plays like he doesn't give a feck. It's the standard braindead shite we see week after week.

It’s like watching a game between amateur and pro teams. So far, we have been on the lucky side.

Spends 80 millions on Antony. After 19 months Antony has his best performance. Drops him for a player who has not performed the whole year. Genius.
