I seem to be the only alarmed that the way he wants to play is more or less how most managers at big clubs are expected to play, so unless they actually do appoint Southgate, the same things will be expected from these players by the next manager. The only way that happens is if INEOS look at how Arsenal handled Aubameyang (there was nothing unusual about it btw) and start to build new standards that way.

Fine, sack the manager it’s inevitable at this point, and I’m not saying we should sell Garnacho, but that sort of thing has now become acceptable at this club and it was that way before Ten Hag was appointed. If you know the soul of this club, you should be heartbroken by things like that. Managers for the most part come and go, but Garnacho after he lost the ball for the first goal is a microcosm of what’s wrong with this club. There are three standard bearer clubs in the Premier League at the moment, and that doesn’t happen there. I don’t have to tell you how quickly that would get stamped out when we were the standard bearers in the Premier League

Wrong. Watch City, Arsenal and Liverpool. They work their socks off to close down gaps in the midfield, they’re disciplined in their position and most importantly of all, their counter press is organized and tireless. Thats the basics of modern progressive football. If you want to say Ten Hag should have realized this ain’t happening, I’m right there with you, but you’re dead wrong if you think the next manager won’t want to do the same things, unless of course it’s Southgate.

I think that’s fair we mostly don’t play well. We’ve had some good performances though with ETH. It’s crazy how big a difference in feeling there is between the Liverpool match and tonight. We go from massive highs to equal lows within a few weeks.
Typo. I meant taking off Garnacho when match was still not over further reduced our threat, and bringing on Rashford for Hujland early in the 2nd half basically took us down to 10 men.
Can’t just look at Chelsea and say, let’s never sign numerous players in a window because it didn’t work for them.
