Whilst you are right, the nature of those wins was far from impressive or controlled, having watched those games we could easily be zero from 12.
The positive results might have bought ETH some time and I hope he uses it to good effect
Yesterday's game was truly epic, so am not going to jump all over ETH again in defence of my opinion that he is not the manager to take us forward, I have described our football previously as Rocky Balboa football, literally slugging it out without any real semblance of effective defence, when it works it is spectacular, but when it doesn't it looks terrible, and it is not sustainable.... Keegan's Newcastle tried and failed and they were a much better side than we currently are, yesterdays game was about as perfect an example of Balboa football as I could imagine.
So ETH can have a pat on the back for yesterday, and I sincerely hope that he can turn things around, I will hold my hands up in apology if he does, but as things stand we are far from that point, and I still expect us to be terrible next game, I do not see that we have actually addressed the issues which have be present all season.
