This guy talks bollocks on the regular."If I one day become Sporting Director of Man Utd I wouldn't let Ten Hag continue" said no one, ever.
Yet even with our first choice defense against Wolves we still managed to concede 3 goals. I'm sure you can find another excuse, obviously ignoring that these days it's a squad game and you should be able to cope with injuries and not fall to pieces.
Some are clearly happy to accept excuses and give the Manager a free pass for what has been a crap season.
And 7 against Liverpool.
Our 'best' back 6 is still terrible organisationally, badly coached and prone to mental collapses. Relies on individual brilliance as much as the attacking play. Varane bailing us out in the air and Martinez bailing us out on the ground.
Let’s see how he finishes the season. Not making top four and 0 trophies doesn’t look great. Results are starting to turn but we are still a long way off.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone in the summer….sacking a manager doesn’t automatically mean we are back to square one.
Exactly my point! This is besides the point though. A subset want him out now, and even if he won a PL And CL, some would still want him out - that's his point.
In other words, even if people's views were proven wrong, they would be too entrenched in their view to think rationally about him.
What do you think other defenders do?And 7 against Liverpool.

The only way I see Ten Hag getting sacked in the short term, is if he refuses to cede control on transfers under the new structure.
There were reports that he has final veto on all transfers. If that’s true, I’d imagine he’ll be asked to compromise and row in behind a new recruitment setup designed by Ashworth and whoever he puts in place.
If Ten Hag is happy to be a part of the discussion rather than the sole decision maker, I think they’ll give him time. If he wants to keep picking players on his own I think they’ll show him the door.
I'm getting the feeling reading between the lines that Ten Hag is more than happy to be just concentrating on coaching and having minimal involvement on recruitment.
The comments about being happy that there is more people coming in to deal with the issues outside of coaching would suggest that. I think what will eventually happen is that there will be positions identified for strengthening and a list of players drawn up for each position and ETH may either pick a preference or just give all of it the ok and the recruitment team would then get to work.
I doubt he will get a veto but I also think the club won't be signing players that he's not given the green light to. I'm sure I read an interview Ashworth did where he said there was no way they (Brighton or Newcastle, can't remember who it was) would recruit anyone without the express acceptance of the manager as it was pointless otherwise.
But ultimately you'd assume he will be asked to pick players from a list that will have already have been approved by the recruitment department.
It's reality though
See I interpreted the posters point as being there seems to be some fans that regardless of results Ten Hags style of management will never be good enough. I know most of these folks issues centre on style of play, but for me this will improve with the confidence and momentum of wins. Maybe the example the poster mass was a bit extreme but it’s probably a reaction to some of the extreme negativity at times. It’s not, you’re being dramatic for the sake of it. fecking no one here would want ETH fired if he won the CL/PL it’s a pointless statement to make
He will stay. Any decent DoF will offer him a chance because there are bits in our play that when you think about it might turn to elite level if he had personal. Take a break. Or have a wank.
There are things to be excited about in the mean time.
This is what many don’t seem to understand. Finishing 4th should be seen as a minimum but it’s being spoken of as a monumental achievement if he gets it.I'm more concerned about the performances. Top 4 isn't the goal. He needs to prove that he can have us playing a decent system. We currently average 51% possession and concede more shots than we shoot. That's not good enough, even with injuries. He needs to show that we can control and win games consistently. It's February, there's time, but as of right now, I'm firmly out on him.
Still want him gone and I think he will be gone at the end of the season. This "revival" has been so filled with lucky results. He's had plenty of time and money, thanks for ending the trophyless drought and good luck come May.
He'll have had two and loads of money and have gone backwards in three months timeHe’s had a season
Plenty of time?

I can see Ten Hag being sacked if we miss out on CL spot and keep playing shite football. I reckon there's 80% chance of that scenario happening. The only way I see Ten Hag getting sacked in the short term, is if he refuses to cede control on transfers under the new structure.

Why? Because he hired him once? I hope they but also the club moves on what makes sense for UnitedMy first thought when the Ashworth stuff broke, was that Ineos could go for Potter again after setting up the structure.
Two having gotten severely worse in the second one with the addition of 200m spending isSo is one season plenty of time to you?

He's spoken very highly of him several times and I think Ineos likes him. Why? Because he hired him once? I hope they but also the club moves on what makes sense for United
Well that was years ago. Time fliesHe's spoken very highly of him several times and I think Ineos likes him.
Ten Hag will not be managing us by this time next year. I do think they will let him start the new season though.
HE'LL HAVE TWO SEASONS
HE'LL HAVE TWO SEASONS
He’s had a season and a half then. Two windows.
Again, is that ‘plenty of time’ to you?
17 minutes had passed. What are you talking about?!
17 minutes had passed. What are you talking about?!
Yes two seasons and three transfer windows is a lot of time not to get hugely worse than you were a year ago.
Actually he got four transfer windows by now. The fact that United decided to spend all money available for transfer in the summer and not keep reserves for reactions in the winter doesn't mean that he hasn't got those windows. It was simply a decision (already in the summer) not to use the winter window for any meaningful action. He’s not been here 2 seasons. He’s had two windows as both Januarys were null and void.
So that’s more than enough time for you?
Interesting!
