The players seeing the manager himself work so hard in the training shouting instructions will makes all the difference. The manager is very intense and hard working while also pay attention to every details to perfection. This would automatically makes the players give their 100% on and off the pitch.

Don't trust this spineless lot.

The contrast with Liverpool, who performed a similar drill on the same pitch, later in the day was actually very instructive and offered an illustration of where United need to get. In Liverpool’s case, players recovered their positions quickly, they moved the ball much faster, closed down space more quickly and talked far more.

It is very good that the players finally seem to be getting a bit of coaching , at least I hope this the first time they have being doing drills like this because they look quite poor at it in comparison to other teams and you would worry if they have been doing this all along we are not going to see much improvement.

It is not going to be a quick process and we may be in for a rough start to the season again before we start seeing the benefits of this coaching.

I'm really not bothered about results this season, I just want to see an improvement in style, determination and a particular pattern of play; almost as if the players have actually been coached.
Once the style improves so will results.

Yeah all his teams seem to have taken a while to get going and start buying in to his methods - it’s why bringing in former players does make sense for the first window.

Ajax did take the occasional thrashing as well (6-2 loss against Feyenoord) - which considering how fragile the club is after last season, might be a bit harder to recover from.

accurate assessment. This was my biggest issue with Ten Hag at Ajax

This bald cnut just swinging his oak tree dick and wrecking the place. Klopp's tiny little hamster dick can't cope.

Counter attack is certainly looking better. That’s probably the style of play we’re most likely to master in the short term, so it seems a good choice, especially against a possession team like LP.

Rashford, Martial and Shaw doing some running, which is encouraging.

Watching the Liverpool feed and it’s just constant talk about hitting the post 2 times from them.

Close to 60% of possession and pressing their defense, keeper, the crowd and the reporters behind the adversary goal.

It's a combination of the training, coaching and tactics.

You will see the difference tomorrow.

There are lots of examples of coaches coming in during a season and are able to improve performances very quickly.

Obviously you and others on here have hung your hat on Ralf doing a competent job and last season was all the players fault so I could understand why you wouldn't expect much change tomorrow.

Think the players have earnt me a victory lap :D

Im not happy with this second half performance. Ten Hag is showing too much complacency

Polishing turd is on the menu.

Man don't you get tired of posting this exact same phrase in every single thread? Now I'm not here to argue your point whether right or wrong, but genuinely asking if you don't get tired of posting that exact same phrase?

Like that hes not happy at 4-0 and wants them to do the little things right all the time.

Looks to have made an immediate impact on the squad. Let's hope they keep this up against the less glamorous sides.

Thought we looked a lot more proactive (in that first half, albeit against a reserve side) in our play.

Looked like he wants to throw his players bucket of cold water for their own good.

Elanga definitely needs one even if he wants to be bench warmer. Rashford needs to wake up a bit and Telles is already looking a candidate for sale.

Comes in and beats Liverpool 4-0 like its nothing and wins a trophy.

Has any Manchester United manager ever had a better start?

He should just quit now and remain the greatest United manager of all time

It seems like there are only 2 modes of operation for this guy:
1. Pissed
2. Heheh

100% win rate

Really nice start, and you can see the impact of his coaching on the movement and passing of the team. Early days but really promising start.

Pre-season wins are meaningless but they're still better than meaningless pre-season losses.

I don't want to get too excited yet. We have had too many false dawn in the last 10 years.

But this really feel different. We are properly coached and playing like a team.

We didn't play great versus a comedy Liverpool 11 but there was still something fun about it. Some great individual moments from Sancho, Fred, martial too which is nice to see. Excited for next game

Closest I can think of is the other Dutch manager. Think he won 7-0 and then won 5 out of 6 including beating Liverpool and Madrid
Other being a draw

Then we lost first home game of the season :nervous:
