I'd rather ETH kept Garnacho and Rashford on the wings and thrown McT as a striker. Antony is practically useless and is too easy to defend against. Rashford is not a striker, he only performs as a wide forward or in a two-man strikeforce. It comes off as stubborn planning, continuing to stick square pegs in round holes.

It's these types of lineups that seemingly shows ETH does not have the tactical nuance others at this level repeatedly show. Pep would probably use Bruno as a false 9 with someone supporting him, or some other mad scientist plan that has fans scratching their heads but confident nonetheless. It does not work every time but it definitely shows something on the pitch versus just garbage output.

I want this manager to succeed but he's seemingly going to die on this consistent hill of his. He needs to tweak this lineup to start the second half, take control and bury Forest.

Seems so obvious doesn't it, Rashford finally looked half decent last game then he's shunted out of position, Garnacho scores twice from the right and then is put on the left, all to accommodate for Antony, who like usual has done nothing.

I'm a Ten Hag supporter but stuff like this makes you doubt him longterm.

We need to engrave Sir Matt Busby's quote all over Old Trafford soon. The amount of boredom Manchester United have induced to the fans this past decade is just too much.

He engineered the worst signing in the history of Manchester United and makes us suffer for his error by shoehorning the mistake into the team every week.

This is spot on. Is it any wonder Sancho got so annoyed when you have Antony starting week in week out?

People keep raving about the amazing football Newcastle and Spurs play.
But when Newcastle got exactly TWO injuries, they fell apart. Spurs too.

Jesus, even City are struggling without KDB and Haaland.

How would any of those incredible, insanely great, a joy to watch, greatest ever football teams cope with the amount of injuries United had to deal with this season?

Again - ETH made mistakes, but surely you can't ignore this massive factor.

And I'm getting pretty sick of that cliche about the 400 million. He didn't get an entire squad for the money. He got 5 players. It's entirely on our shit structure and lack of planing, that we are forced to overpay for players again and again.
This has been an issue for 10 years, surely you can't blame managers for that.

Actually, the only transfer target that I recall ETH publicly insisted on and pushed for, was FDJ.

And the only reason the idiots at the board had to pay insane money for Antony and Casemiro, was because they once again were way too late and had to panic buy after we got trashed by Brentford.

A properly run football club secures Antony in March and buys him in June for 30 million max.

Which is still 28 million more than his worth.

As for FDJ being the only target ETH wanted, are you suggesting all our other signings were something he didn't want, all of the players he had previously worked with? and the board forced on him?.

No other way to describe this than abysmal. No way to shield ETH from the responsibility for this.

He is grossly underperforming. He brought new RW and ST, while he inherited arguably very good LW (Rashford 30 goals last season) and #10 (Bruno the top 2-3 most creative players in the league) already. And the team is now bottom of all attacking stats. Good players have regressed under him and his own signings have not even got going.

Just put him out of his misery already.

Yeah like you could say the Hojlund injury kind of fecked things up, but he still goes to the worst possible solution to it. Something that has proven to not work time and time again. It's highly worrying.

The football is the worst we’ve had. LVG’s is close but least you could see what the plan was even if it was shite

They're going to gaslight you guys. "Something something structure, injuries, players, lockeroom, DoF, something something we beat Villa"

He needs to go. No amount of comebacks will get us any sustainable improvement. He is shite and will always be, complete imposter and out of his depth. He is nowhere near good enough for a top club.

Even if we win against Nottingham.....this football ist the most boring and terrible football ever.

Hooks Mainoo, Antony survives.

Sack this clown.

This is madness. With McT's positional sense lacking it means Eriksen will be on his own against Forest attack and counters. That's a recipe for disaster any average manager would see in his head when considering changes.

Even if Mainoo has a knock he knows McT is not a six, but looking at the bench I'm not sure who to play in that role. It probably needs something drastic, like a full change in tactic and perhaps push a defender into midfield. I don't know if Antony can be dropped deeper in midfield, if his game can handle that requirement.

The smug replies after the Villa win were unreal. It was a great comeback and a good result, of course, but there was zero indication that we were actually going to improve our performances and that we wouldn't just immediately revert to the way we've been playing for at least 10 months now.

Sack this man today. Get rid of every single cretin who backs this shite.

“It’s not acceptable, eh. We need to take responsibility, eh. We want to be consistent, eh.”

Just feck off.

The only reason we won against villa was because of their suicidal high line.

Yet another away defeat incoming. I've had enough, he needs to go

Meeting with Brailsford pencilled in for the p45 handover.

Why?

One step forward 3 steps back

Absolutely shocking yet again here. McTominay at HT as well….mind boggling

Losing because he took off Mainoo for McTominay who didn't track his man, well done.

Radcliffe should be looking at this and seriously considering binning him asap. This is how we've performed on the road all season except for a decent half an hour against Spurs. We lost that one too.

Yep, awful smug replies from people who will still blame this shit football on missing Martínez

Stick to the process guys. Otherwise you’re just being toxic.

Yup. I'm glad we were able to take advantage of it, but they were practically begging for us to score. Of course, anybody who pointed that out here was labeled a "moaner" and all the other usual slurs.
