And so Mourinho and Van Gaal were shite managers?
Past it both of them when we hired them. Just have a look at how many managers Bayern/Barça/Real had in the last 10 years or so. If only we had any kind of standards.

We’ll sack him and repeat the same crap with the next manager.
So what's the suggestion, don't sack him and let us sink even lower? Even in the scenario where you change the ownership and the club from the ground up, you replace him because he's clearly out of his depth.

Is Zidane better than all the managers we had?
He's hard headed for sure

It is becoming increasingly difficult to understand why ETH keeps wanting to play the same way, given the number of injuries and the stratgey of inverted wingers is clearly only working for the opposition. Even though his defenders are decimated by injuries, he keeps playing two in mid field when we clearly need three, where 90% of the time we seek to move forward via the wide areas, but have wingers on the wrong foot, so all they can really attempt is to cut in, where two or three defenders are waiting in line to disposes. 'Rinse and repeat, is not working Erik!

We’re 18 games into the league season and one team have scored fewer goals than us. How is anyone still backing this guy?

A bit like the team, when Utd managers are on the decline they never manage to turn their fortunes around. I don't think anyone can say that any of the previous managers were unfairly sacked, in fact failing managers tend to be given more time than at any other club. I think we are now at the same point with ETH, maybe not this month or next, but ultimately he will limp along to the inevitable sacking.

I can criticise the players he bought and wanted here as they certainly let him down.
So that's why we definitely need a good dof.

We scored 49 in 15/16 under van gaal.

Anyone think we can score 49 this season?
The similarities are scary but i think this could actually be worse in terms of attacking play. Martial adapted to the league far better than Hojlund has.

It's not even that. We've only scored 18. How are we that shite? How can Ten Hag constantly stand in front of a camera and say this is a good performance when your team has scored a miserly 18 goals in the Prem? It makes no sense and he needs to make huge changes to the way we play or move on.

Well, that’s sort of the same point I was making.

Its actually the perfect time to sack the manager. We have the home against Villa coming up where we really could do with a new manager bounce, and then theres hardly a game for a month, chance for a new coaching setup to work on some tactics, alongside tweaking the squad with the transfer window, and the season is still potentially salvageble. But seeing how we do things, well wait till mid feb.

So some people want to sack another manager?
And you think this will solve all problems?
Haven’t we been here before?

Yes, let’s stick it out with an incompetent and under performing manager because we’ve sacked incompetent and underperforming managers in the past. We also shouldn’t buy players ever again since we’ve made bad buys and have been there before :wenger:

No one is saying sacking Ten Hag will “solve all problems” - it will solve some however. United needs structural AND managerial change.

Ole had a better squad IMO
ETH pretty much inherited that squad bar Pogba and a past it Matic. And he's bought in a dozen players. ETH might be a better manager in isolation, but Ole was better at Utd. Anyone still claiming ETH is better is only hanging on that claim out of pure spite for Ole at this point.

Yes, we won the Carabao Cup but we've sunk to so many previously unknown lows. And this is saying something in a post SAF era.

The biggest red flag is he still keeps barking back to the Cup win as some sort of proof that we'll come good. It's the Carabao Cup for Pete's sake, not the Champions League.

You need to fix the issue before you think about changing the manager

Fair enough but These players were hated and called not good enough too
Pogba for United is miles better than any midfielder we have seen under ETH. The expectations of him were just far higher

More structural and definitely director of football

We clearly need the structural and DOF more and more importantly BEFORE the manager change

That’s what I am saying. We should give managers two-year contracts max so we can get rid the minute it starts to go wrong. Our problem is that we wait until a manager that has already lost the dressing room stays until we no longer have anything to play for, after which the club as a whole becomes accustomed to the dip standards and the feeling of having nothing to play for. Then, the new manager has a far harder task of building a new winning culture from scratch. Meanwhile, clubs like Barca, FC Bayern and Real Madrid would sack a manager for simply not winning the league or even winning the league and playing shit football!

10 years ago, finishing second was like finishing last. Today, finishing the top 4 is considered a success and an indicator that a manager deserves time. What a joke!

i would any day accept a loss if we played like Tottenham or Everton today. So much more desire, running, creating chances and a dare to open up the defence to create the chance. We play some of the worst football in many years, and it’s not all because of bad players.

What have they done since leaving us? They may of had good careers but were at the wrong ends of their careers when they joined us.

What might ETH do after being sacked by United? You can't tell. Can another big team touch him? Probably not. He will end up like the rest managers we've had.

Same way we've been signing poor players it's the same in signing poor managers. Guarantee you, when we will get better manager we will start signing better players.

I said here, for a team to be successful you need

Correct players
Correct game structure
Correct tactics

All the 3 needs to converge at the right point. And in more ways than one, they converge at the managers doorstep. The right manager will know the right players for his correct tactics, then put a team out in the right structure to win football matches. Just compare Everton under Lampard and Dyche.

This is what Arteta learn early.

Is what Klopp and Pep have known ever since. That's why we know deep in our heart some of our players can't play in a Pep's or Klopp team even for free. Because Klopp and Pep we know their tactics and their structures.

SSo what does ETH stand for? What is his tactics and structure 2 years later at United? You can't pin point a players who can't play for ETH. Any Tom and Dick can play for him. That's a very red flag and the results show.
