Our worst permanent manager post Fergie.
Ole, Carrick and McKenna were leagues above him.

EtH has no plan of attack. It's been obvious for some time now. Trying to score goals by having Bruno pull something out of thin air isn't sustainable. I don't think we created one good chance in the second half. Why he continues playing McT as far forward against a packed defense is beyond me.

But his biggest mistake has to be recruitment. Liverpool bought Mac Allister, Endo and Szoboslai after their midfield troubles last season. We bought Mount(perennially injured) and Amrabat(subpar) on loan. It's a combination of people above EtH being inept and him being unable to spot talent.

I honestly don't know if EtH with a better structure would solve our problems or if EtH is that inept. But they both need to change.

As I understand it, Zidane wants the France NT job but that’s not happening any time soon. Any chance we can talk him into this job on an interim basis? Probably not, it might be worth asking anyway. If he can sort this shit out, he would add a new notch to his illustrious belt.

13 defeats before Christmas. How the feck is he still in a job? The worst manager since SAF retired.
Normally you would say no United manager could survive that, but the club is adrift, rudderless and dysfunctional. It isn’t all the manager’s fault, as the entire hierarchy is failing, but of course we have to acknowledge that things are getting worse on the pitch. I thought ETH did an outstanding job last season and overachieved. This season he is grossly underachieving; it’s all fallen apart, sadly. I really wanted us to kick on this season, but this can’t continue much longer. The sad thing is I think any successor, no matter who it is, will be doomed to the same fate, such is the state of the club.

He keeps going back to that midfield every opportunity he's given, and again it's another clusterfeck.

This…it is as frustrating as feck that his first opportunity after a solid midfield performance is to revert back to Bruno and McT for zero control.

Also, I’m not particularly in the ETH out camp but for so many of our players to be out of form/not be able to hit a barn door is suspicious at best…at what point do we look at the manager and say he’s got to do better so that they can do better. I appreciate he’s not the one missing good chances but I don’t recall a United team in recent times being so toothless…

The manager is a big big problem. If we can blame the club for it's horrendous structure and recruitment well then it's entirely possible that they're also hiring totally incompetent managers also.
Possibly but I seem to recall him being a pretty popular appointment on here

Is there something I have missed because this is the second reference to “Excel” I have seen.

Nothing apart from him being clearly unable to read the game naturally and react to other manager's tactical changes.

He's robotic. If it ain't in the script, he hasn't got a clue.

Zidane is frankly the only option. Players will show for him. Nobody of note will sign for Potter...

Are people serious when they say they’d have Ole back? Jesus wept.

Once Ten Hag has something that resembles a non-injury ravaged matchday squad and isn’t lumbered with players he wanted to exchange for better ones but was scuppered by pricks who put them on huge wages, then I can make an informed decision.

He is underperforming of course but give him a chance with more tools at his disposal and give him support in identifying talent and not leave it solely down to him.
Mate what?

we didn’t create a single chance in the 2nd half. We can’t create a decent attack if our lives depended on it. Please tell me who from the forward line he is missing with these injuries that will all of a sudden transform our attacking play?

lose is one thing, lose with 0 hope of even getting a draw is a whole other. Look at Newcastle for how an injury ravaged squad can still put up a hell of a fight in most games.

The same mckenna thats just watched his team get picked apart by leeds?

The same McKenna who has Ipswich sitting comfortably at 2nd place in Championship the next year after getting them promoted from League one.

Whats the matter with you, what a shit reply...

What has happened to one touch football, full backs overlapping wingers to create space for crosses and to progressive foot all where passing needs to be focused forward not aide ways? We have become so slow over the years, so boring, so predictable and easy to play against.

Hand up, he was the first appointment post Fergie I was genuinely thrilled about, and all evidence pointed to it being the right decision. And then… he was given full control over recruitment and allowed to “play a different way to how he played at Ajax” which is the most absurd shit I’ve ever seen from a manager.

Maybe that EtH is not a bad manager per se, but the combination of our squad and him, that’s the problem. He may eventually be a success somewhere else. But at this moment in time something has to give.

None of his previous teams player how Ajax played. We also dont have the players to play how Ajax played. He also was NOT given full control over recruitment

Yeah but that's fine. I was pleased we appointed him but it hasn't worked out...so what?

We're not going to get everything right as a club, our problem has been a) we get plenty wrong b) we compound those bad decisions by clinging on to them.

Failing is fine, but you have to fail fast

Out of CL and Europe
Out of League Cup
8th in PL with -5 goal difference

We've had many injuries this season and that has troubled ten Hag no doubt but continue like this and it could actually be worse than 21/22 and 13/14 seasons.

I said a month ago at what point do you get rid of this fraud?

10 defeats, 11, 12 or 13 because now this complete fraud has lost 13 and he’s won 11 drawing 1 for me has to go tonight.

The team is bereft of ideas has no elite penetration, players like Garnaucho, Pellistri and Mainoo all show promise but they should be out on loan or at best eased in gently to the first team.

Here we sit 8th, out of the carabo cup, out of Europe and negative 5 goal difference, why is this even a debate. I’m sure ETH will turn up at Dortmund but he won’t win the Bunderliga year in year out, I doubt he’ll ever win it, he found is level in Dutch Football and needs to be dismissed before Xmas.

We don’t score goals we don’t win games convincingly, but what we do with this Fraud is never play attractive football and lose 50% of our games, give him the full season and 38 games in the PL equals 11 more defeats and 19 defeats overall that’s what will happen if we keep Eric the Fraud !

Because as much as you want to put all the blame on him, there are so many other factors too. It’s a culmination of 10 years of mismanagement. He’s a problem but it doesn’t magically get better with someone else.

We need a proper structure above any manager. Does he deserve a chance with that in place? Not so sure, but it’s not all on him.
Let’s count. That starting 11 out there had Bruno, AWB, Shaw, McT from the prev managers. Just 4 out of 11 players, yet it is not his team yet? Do we need him to have a brand new squad of 30 players before he can implement a style of attacking play?

He is not the only problem, but he is one of the biggest problem out there for us. Anyone denying that or pointing out excuses for him just refuses to see the obvious.

Every manager spends a fortune and the team gets progressively worse, it’s bizarre. Other teams would love to have our spending power, we’ve just wasted a decade overpaying going nowhere. Ten Haag has a lot to answer for, spent 85m and 72m on Antony and Hjolund and they can’t even muster a shot on target between them.

Missing out on the new champions league format is fecking annoying. Maybe if we sack him now we might make 5th with an interim?

Yes, sacking him will make all our stupid players smart, Scott McTominay able to trap a ball, and all our injured players fit again.

We field a mid-table eleven, we get a mid-table performance. It's that simple.

I can understand people who want him out but I'd love to see how we'd fare with an attack that can score/create from nothing.

Some would argue that they are not doing it because of a lack of tactics, but we got into so many good positions today and did pretty much feck all with it.

We're further away from being a regular top 4 side than when Ole was sacked. The squad has been ruined and the money has dried up.

Yeah it's a bit annoying how we had many moments of bodies in the box and a cut back or some quality required and the players just fecked it.
