Some players might have the technical aspect, such as Dalot but they're physically not very impressive. Would be safe to say this is the least aggressive United side i can remember.

Agreed. Maybe should include Elanga there (not technically excellent, but still pretty good; while checked the other aspects). Ronaldo, too, if we're a bit more generous. RR style of high pressing, hardwork play really exposed who might fit ETH's. That's the silver lining of his failed half season tenure.

He’s technical gifted and in the right system he maybe a useful option.
Think Pereira has more qualities to be a modern midfielder in an ETH team than Fred, McTominay to be honest.
I think he does lack concentration and consistency. But technically, physically there is a lot to work with. Would love him at Ajax personally.
If Then Hag can turn his preseason form into a more permanent level, then he could become a great squad option.

Andreas as a backup would be better than MCT as a backup.

If ETH can turn Periera into some star player, United needs to give ETH a % of his transfer fee. And if he does, it will be a greater achievement than the '99 season itself.

De Jong to be the main deep progressor, Bruno and Sancho the main 2 in the front "4" with the other 2 being more goal focused would be my guess.

We shouldn't waste time on Pereira, there are tons of options available which is much better than him. ETH is not God. He has enough more pressing issues to focus on especially players like Martial, Rashford, Shaw who have very high ceiling.
The latest is he is being used as a makeweight for Nunez.
Not saying it will necessarily be Pereira (though I don’t rule it out), but I think some people are going to be surprised by how much more a good coach like Ten Hag can get out of some of our players.

He lacks quick thinking, pitch & situation awareness, and football smartness. All key attribute. As bad as McTominay, he does have some decent games, and even good one. Pereira only has moment while being liable for the rest.
There is a reason for him to go on loan to Brazil to get minutes. Because even at mid table European top flight clubs, he would end up being on the bench more than on the pitch.
If you have time to give players, then give it to young players breaking through. It's impossible to get some thing great from Pereira in his final year of his contract. Yet anything less than great is not worth it. Why would anyone try to experiment with nothing player that would leave next summer? Low reward while high risk.
I agree with this, like you said not necessarily Pereira, but people seem to underestimate how much of a difference a good manager can make! We saw that ourselves in the later years of SAF reign.. Even if we look at Liverpool players, many of them are great for Klopp and the system, but I don’t think the same players are actually great individually/in other system.. With that being said, obviously players Maguire, AWB, etc have their limitations.
Pereira is a strange one. He has many of the qualities you'd want to see in a midfielder but he just goes missing in most games and hides from the ball like McTominay. Maybe Ten Hag can get some use out of him, we'll see.
Beside Henderson, Klopp pretty much whole changed Liverpool XI to be able to properly challenge. During the transition where he had to use the XI he inherited, while he did well to get top 4, it was a tough battle despite not being in Europe for the whole season.
ETH would shoot himself in the foot by playing these nothing players while coping with EL, having a World Cup mid season, to fix a broken dressing room. Good character alone wouldn't help the situation when being liable in term of quality.

If we can’t sell him then I wouldn’t be against ETH working with him if he feels he can get a tune out of him

I’m talking about the likes of Milner, Matip, to lesser extent Jota and Firmino, I can name few more too.. Even if we had Mane (which many people were against when we were in for him) and Salah, I don’t think they would be the same players as they are now under Klopp.. I agree with what you said to a certain extent though, obviously I much rather us have better players than Pereira, but unfortunately this is where we are currently.. Also I personally wasn’t fan of Ole’s coaching, so it’s hard to really judge some of these players based on the coaching the received in the past few seasons and the recurring theme of players being decent when bought but decline when they come here and that ranges from supposedly world class/good players to prospects.. Players who are lazy and don’t put the effort in is a different story though (some of that blame falls on the coaching too).

Can't help but feel there's a bit of destiny involved. He's meant to play for us.
It's more than that with Pereira: he genuinely lacks awareness on the field. There are times I've seen him get dispossessed all because he doesn't constantly scan his surroundings like any half-decent midfielder. That simply won't fly in the PL.
Maybe Ten Hag can coach the shape and system so that he develops 'automatisms' and doesn't look unaware. But I doubt it.
