I don't see the point in sacking him. Who are we getting to replace him? If there was a decent alternative, you could do it, but there isn't.

We could bring in Pep and he would fail here. The club is rotten from top to bottom. We couldn't even get the right coat of red for a paint job on our stadium.
No he wouldn’t. He’d find it more difficult, obviously, but he wouldn’t fail in this manner.

Indeed. Bringing in De Zerbi (A manager I do actually like) will do feck all. The club isn't structured well enough.

It doesn't excuse all of ETH's shortcomings but nothing will drastically change by getting rid of him

Murtough has to go. There's no argument towards keeping someone as incompetent as he is at the job. He's everything a director of football is not, has absolutely no idea what he's doing alongside offering the club / the business no direction.

Rashford is such an important player, but he can’t be allowed to play like he does as the consequences are clear. That’s on Ten Hag.

We don’t create enough, and we concede the same goals over and over like a broken fifa game.

It's important to note that you can think he shouldn't be sacked, and still think you've seen enough from him and he's not good enough.

He does not understand that the PL is a physical league not played at walking pace. Eriksen and Casemiro in CM will never work.

Spot on. De Zerbi would look like a bum here. The structures in place at the club are atrocious.

What’s the point in sacking him? We’ll just find ourselves in the exact same position again and the same will happen with the guy after that as well. The cold hard reality is nothing will truly change until the ownership does. Simple as that.

Ole had some great moments but he presided over a complete degradation of standards and discipline. By the end of his reign opposition fans were singing his song. If that's not embarrassing I don't know what is. I'm not saying ETH is a top tier manager but he is clearly better than Solskjaer. If we sacked ETH he would get another good European job easily, the same has not been true of Ole.

He has not been clearly a better Manchester United manager than Ole. There is no objective way that anyone can say he has, except they are filling in blanks with hope and imagination. We score no goals and are a poor attacking side under Ten Hag. We were a threat under Ole at least, even against good sides, and all of that aside - the league tables will tel you that Ten Hag is not clearly better at all, except having been more heralded when he arrived.

Keep. He's a top manager in a shitshow of a club. He's effectively had the season sabotaged by Arnold's awful handling of Greenwood.

There's very little evidence he's a top manager. You can make a good case for decent, with his time at Ajax, but what has he shown to be considered a top manager? In the PL now you have the likes of Emery at Villa who's won about 35 Europa Leagues. It's very stiff competition these days.

No they took the manager who had them flying high last season and he was made to look like a clown because it's a systemic problem. Or did you miss that? Unless you think United are some well run club and it's just the manager (again)?

We're an awfully run club. But patterns of play and tactics are onnthe coaching staff.

Keep.

I want to wait and see how we do with Amrabat, Mount and Hojlund playing consistently. Not to mention the likes of Varane and Shaw returning on top of that.

If we still look poor after he's had a run of games with near enough everyone available, then, yes, questions need asking. Getting them all fit and available is a big ask in and of itself, though.

He will be given chances to turn it around but given his baffling decisions today, he’s going to hang himself with the rope given to him by the club.

If we sack him whoever we replace him with will do no better. It’ll be the same roundabout. This club has fundamental structural issues that can only be resolved by new ownership.

Lost faith because of the signings of Antony and Onana. They've had Ten Hag's fingerprints all over them and neither is good enough, particularly for the massive fees we've paid.

I'd not sack him, I'd give him until the end of the season because all our games could have swung the other way but there have been some dire signs.

Need to change everything top to bottom first if we are going to even consider changing the manager. We can’t keep doing the same old shit time and time again. It’s fairly obvious the problems at this club are deep rooted.

I like Ten Hag but I struggle to see what we're trying to achieve here.

It's seems we're playing this odd 'not quite a press, not quite a counter, not quite a possession based' style of football and it doesn't really suit our players and it seems so easy to expose.

All three goals today were from Brighton exposing the huge gaps down our flanks and cutting the ball back. We've seen this problem repeated in other games this season.

The other oddity is that players end up in positions that don't suit them. Where was Bruno playing today? I couldn't work it out. Why does Casemiro seem to be constantly surging forward like some kind of box-to-box midfielder?

I don't watch as much football as I used to and I don't dissect the tactics in much detail but I can't tell whether we have a plan and we're implementing it badly or whether it's as chaotic as it sometimes looks
I said the same in the lads group chat, we're such a middling team caught between a myriad of different ideas.

Last season we accepted the team wasn't good enough to play the football Ten Hag wants. We changed to being a counter attack side and it worked to a degree.

This season Ten Hag has stated he wants to be the best transition side in the world, yet we get done on counters again and again, and rarely threaten with them ourselves. Plus we don't ever control a game and dictate the tempo so it's certainly not his Ajax style we're trying to implement.

Would Ole or Jose have stayed in their job after losing 7 nil? Sorry but that game still stinks.

Ten Hag will be given this season, he needed Mount, Shaw etc to be available but has had no luck with injuries or other troubles.

He does seem clueless at the moment, horrible start to the season. His 'levels' are no where near the standard required by Manchester United.

But no where near sacking yet.

I don't think, he made any mistakes today. Bringing off Hojlund was a bit weird, but who knows about the reason. Think we have been beaten by better drilled and organized team, it happens. Certainly nothing to just throw off the table but doesn't really justify an overreaction for me.

I am worried though, I really don't want him to get under pressure but it is getting warmer out there...
