Vardy kicked out at him there twice. Left foot then right foot.

There was that moment in the 2nd half where he just seemed to run forwards as fast as he could and seemed to forget that he was the one in control of the ball. He seems to get an occasional rush of blood to the head, and usually the result is entertaining. That tussle with Vardy was great. He was prone to a few flying body checks earlier in the season which were equally great. He is aggro as feck.

Absolute beast of a player, looks invincible, whether on the ground or in the air what a fantastic signing he is.

Wish he'd nobbled Vardy the chav though, would have been worth a booking to leave one in on him.

Seems odd having a really good centre half again. No knock on the others but he looks the real deal. Fingers crossed he keeps progressing.

Brick wall. Would love to see him and Rojo just get a run of games now at CB.
Have they actually played together this season with both as CBs? Seems like timing and injuries has meant they havent, or shuffling people around means that hasnt been the case.

he still has a lot to learn in his aerial game, he sometimes mistimes his headers, being absolutely all over the place but that will come in time hopefully, Smalling could teach him something on this metter, otherwise hes a brilliant talent..

A reminder of how good he is having pretty much not played for us since the Chelsea game

Hope he stays fit for the rest of the season, had it not been for Mhkitaryan my MOTM

Himself and a fit Jones would be great to see. Both have composure on the ball.

I can't imagine he's much fun to play against. Not only is he 6'2 and rippling with muscle, he's also the sort of player that loves to clatter into a player in the air. The sort that is 50/50 and rarely gets a yellow but you just know it hurts like buggery and they're not so keen to do it again and again with him. Vardy was looking for other routes around him by the 30th minute.

Fabulous to have him back in the side! We are blessed to have him, Rojo, Smalling & Jones (in front of DDG) ensuring our "spine" will remain solid this year & in years to come (injury's not withstanding)
You have to love the way the lad plays! The other three will have to work hard to dislodge him as first choice.

You could tell Vardy was getting frustrated.

There was an incident when the ball went out of play on the sideline and Vardy and Bailly came together and there was a little kick out from Vardy while laying on the ground, as Bailly fell on top of him. Bailly just got up and jogged on, not a care in the world, waiting eagerly for his next challenge.

The pace and physicality of our back line is a thing of beauty

Bailly and Fuchs be like…

:lol::lol:

Loved him dominating that chavvy scrote Vardy as well.

He's the first defender since Rio and Vidic that actually manages to bring a sense of calm to the defence by his mere presence. Even Smalling, who is a bag of nerves on the ball, looked a bit more assured. Definitely our best CB. Rojo, Smalling and Jones can fight it out for the other spot.

He's still pretty wild at times. Need to be more culturalized in his play but the potential are obviously high.

Have to echo the sentiments on here. Brilliant performance. Very commanding.

I also love how "cold" he is. Never gets involved in spats beyond the minimum required to let the opposition player know he's in for a tough time.

He's great. Anyone else notice the weird way he jumps for headers? Kind of bends down and jumps at the same time. Feel like he's be much more dominant if he learned to straighten his back because he's got a hell of a spring.

I raised this at the beginning of the season. It's almost both brave and cowardly at the same time. He heads as if he wants to connect either with the top or back of his head, instead of his forehead. Ducks under them.

Great performance yesterday though, and having him back will be a great help. Don't think we need a centre half personally. The four we have are capable enough, providing they can stay fit of course. I also like that two of them are English, and if we can keep a few in the squad it would be good.

He's brilliant. I'd not heard of him this time last year tbh.

A few more rough diamonds like him please Jose and we'll be laughing.

I didn't think it was possible, but he's more supple than Rio Ferdinand. He just ambles about with the balance of a ballerina.

Yeah he's a propa no bullshit defender we needed since Vidić left.

Hope them slight injuries were just a fuke and nothing more.

He's an excellent center back, who makes defending look good. Has to start for me.

Who starts alongside him, well Rojo, Jones , and Smalling are very good options to have, but Rojo so far gets my vote.

Bailly and Rojo CB partnership would be my first choice simply because both are aggressive and like to boss their respective areas.

He's just so big, strong and quick. You're 80% of the way there as a defender if you have that in the locker. Solid head on his shoulders too.
