He's like if you combined the confidence and change of pace of Rio, the aggression and power of Vidic and the batshit craziness of Evra. I love it.
Two deserved MOTM awards on the trot. Already becoming a fan favourite!
Props to @Dumbstar for spotting this gem during their Europa games against Villarreal. We're glad this one didn't go unnoticed, eh?
Ivorian Desailly.
Our Desailly.....
The 180s in here when he inevitably gets sent off or gives away a penalty will be somewhat amusing.
He looks a good player (and far better on the ball than I expected) but he's incredibly rash which needs to be worked on and ironed out.
Still, very good start, looks a good prospect.
You could see it in the Wigan game. We've found one.
he's good on the ball but his distribution is average at bestWhy did people assume he was poor on the ball anyways/ I keep reading people going on about how surprised he is good on the ball etc, where did this idea of him being poor on the ball came from?
or is it because he is like a tank and exhumes physicality and people automatically assumed he was going to be poor on the ball and one of those hoof the ball defenders? Or is it because people are used to Smalling or Jones, good at defending(at least Smalling still is, Jones?) but technically subpar and poor on the ball.
Already one of my favourite players. Don't get the talk of him being rash. Vidic was rash pretty much every game. He was always on the edge
He's out of control on the odd challenge, Vidic was far more controlled despite being tough and competitive.
