Television Entourage

E is terrible, mostly down to Kevin Connolly being totally miscast, but his putdowns whenever Drama or Turtle were up to something were often brilliant.

The biggest problem with E is that he's not in the slightest bit likable, he's just an irritating jumped up twerp who thinks he's a big shot but would still be serving pizzas if he didn't happen to grow up next door to Vince.

The show is really good fun, though, and definitely one to watch. Ari Gold and Drama alone make it worth watching. I like Turtle too, I always found myself wanting him to succeed.

I like E. He provided balance to the show. Not all of them could be high strung spastics.

I also never noticed him acting like a big shot. May be I need to re-watch the first couple of seasons.

Vinny got on my tits though. He is hot and fecks hot chicks. Yay! :wenger: It's his entourage, they could have given the character more depth . No man from Queen's is this boring.
 
me neither, I see what they were trying to do, because up until that point it was just "Vince got the movie" vs "Vince didn't get the movie", so they were trying something new. It just didn't really work cause Vince is a bit shit.

The last season was crap though, and the ending was fecking rubbish.
 
For me it didn't work because the whole point of Entourage was just to be a bit of fun. A lighthearted, nothing serious, amusing escape for 20 minutes. That whole storyline was just gloomy and depressing, as well as generally not very good. Season 8 got it back to being a bit of fun, at least.
 
Agree. I enjoyed it but vince was terrible and that blonde mentalist e was banging for a season did my nut.

Not for me. Season 8 is easily the worst of the series. VInce marrying that chick hours after meeting her and E and Sloan clearing everything in a matter of minutes and what not. The bigger issue was that they spent the first half of the season doing nothing but nonsense like spending one whole episode on Vince passing a drug test and rushed things in terribly in the end. It would have been a lot better had those guys just stayed together without the marriage/pregnant bullcrap and ended like they began.

Season 7 was sort of experimental for me, and rightly got a divided opinion.
 
Ari Gold makes the show watchable.

Anyone heard anything about the movie?
 
Was greenlit in Janury this year but that's all I know.

The Medellin story arc was brilliant, but the show would've been a complete failure without Ari Gold and Drama. Billy Walsh was class until he sobered up.

That's not his problem really. With every show that has comedic elements there's going to be that one character that's not really likable and is often the voice of reason or sanity. He's there to balance the others out.

Personally I think that Turtle is the weakest character. He's a useless sack of fluids that one. The only character that really qualifies as a member of an entourage.
 
Ari and Drama are the best characters there, just fantastic.

It's quite an enjoyable show. Funny, and all around great especially the initial seasons. Ari Gold alone is worth the show. And Drama.
 
Also Sloan was willing to give anal a try which is a big plus.

What was the thoughts on that Porn Star and Vince? I can't remember her name now but I did have to do some research and she's quite something.

Can't acess YT right now, but the scene where he needs to pick the phone in the middle of a therapy session with his wife was one of Ari's best. The one he ends up with "Good Day" and does a salute...
 
I'd seen it before but mostly on and off, random episodes etc. Finished season 1 a while back, didn't get why it was considering so great, but I enjoyed it and found it an easy watch. Struggling to find somewhere to download the second season though.

Yeah I found it now cheers. But yeah, I struggled for a while to find it with good seeds. It would always go incredibly and take far longer than most things so I'd give it.

Got fibre a week ago though so put it to good use and now have the season.
 
Oh, I envy you so much mate. You get to watch it for the first time. Season one is great but it only gets better from there on (well... until a certain point).
 
Starting season 2 now, will get an episode in before the Germany match.

Looking forward to it.
 
Just finished season 3 - it's a brilliant show.

I wasn't overly convinced by season 1, I enjoyed it but it didn't seem anything special. Seasons 2 and 3 were great though, Ari Gold is one of the best characters I've seen on television.
