Surely that's the end of Dhawans test career
He's Kohlis best mate. That's the only explanation why he was in this test.

That's a top 3 day of English test match cricket, up there with the Day 1 of the Boxing Day test of 2010 (Australia 98 all out, England 157/0) and Day 1 of the 4th Ashes test in 2015 (Australia 60 all out, England 274/4). Imagine if Jimmy had surpassed McGrath today as well!
Cook must have broken the record for the most standing ovations in a test. What a way to go out and nothing less than he deserves for the way he's carried himself over the last 12 years.
Mumbai Day 3 2013 has to be right up there. Drubbed in the first test, trailing by 130 odd at the start of the day on a pitch that was turning square and Pietersen plays one of the best ever knocks by an English batsman (ably supported by Cook) before Panesar and Swann ripped out 7 Indian wickets. England then go on, of course, to win one of their best ever away series wins.

How come? What a rubbish day. Brilliant atmosphere at the Oval. Got to see Cooks last innings, got an incredible send off and the over throws for his hundred was a hilarious moment. I dont like Root but watching him live was a great pleasure. Hes a wonderful batsman. Dhawans awful and needs an arse kicking. I made a joke that Kohli would get out first ball and he fecking did. As an Indian fan, couldnt have asked for a worse day.
How come?
Still day 1 of the Ashes 1997 for me. Bowl that amazing Australia team out for 120 and finish 200-3 at the close. That game has to be our best performance of the 90s (and one of our best ever)Mumbai Day 3 2013 has to be right up there. I saw Shaw in the u19 world cup and think he's a long way from test cricket. It is a surprise to me to see him in the squad. His technique looked like a shit Bairstow.Nah, there are no alternatives. No way do we throw young Shaw into this cauldron.
Is there any player in English history who's been a better player of spin than pace? Jennings might be the first one I can remember.
Cook averages more against spin than pace I think. Would he not count?
He's got 8 or 9 centuries in Asia for that reason I suppose.
Jennings is just below par against pacers though. Cook has been world class against both.
4.6 RRR. It's possible.
Not in a million years. Still need 200 runs with just one more batsman left.
Couldn't happen again, could it?

This is why we need to persist with Rahul. He's a class batsman in the longer formats. Just need to eradicate the bad habits he's learnt from the IPL.
