Head plays identical to Warner but with the advantage of not having to face a brand new ball
I remember him opening, or was that in ODIs. Looks like he is most likely to replace warner at the top atleast for one of the next two tests, surely.

They've really let the Aussies off the hook here, need a wicket sharpish to get control back.
The effect of dropped catches isn't just the loss of the wicket, they drag the momentum of the team down too, completely changing the complexion of the game.
That drop is going to cost the match
Marsh is going to hit a hundred here.
If he had gone, I genuinely think we could have had them all out for below 250.
No excuses for England here - ridiculous amount of missed chances.
It's doing my head in, switched to Wimbledon for now for my own sanity.
Cannot believe we dropped both these guys. This has been such a frustrating series.

If we lose this test match we've robbed everyone of a top series via sloppyness. Very frustrating.
Ofcourse credit to Marsh and Head for making the most of it,
We've absolutely fecked this.
This being the Ashes and this series with how its gone one way then another, it was obviously never going to be straight forward... but you feel like it could have been
Still fancy us, but we'll do it the hard way, obviously.

Yeah Broady is giving Ruud a decent game
England's team balance is all wrong..
long tail that cant bat.
keeper who is clearly not good enough.
Who picks these teams?

And complacency. Diabolical declaration in the first innings of the first match set the tone for the rest of the series.
Just the wrong sort of attitude and intensity for such a big series.
I'm not a regular cricket watcher, just the ashes and the odd 20/20 game here and there.
Why do the bowlers get all the credit for a catch? They can't be that good at bowling it if the batter hit it. Yet some guy pulls off some diving catch, and the bowler wheels away like he's won the world cup.
It's more like the person who assisted the goal with a 2 yard sideways pass getting the plaudits rather the guy who belted it top corner from 35 yards.
And if the batters were any good, they'd just hit it away from the fielders.
This is a mental issue more than anything else. When England are ahead in the game, they somehow find a way to hand the initiative back to Australia.
Three dropped catches, one an absolute dolly. They have bottled it.
If we come out strong after this break and bowl them all out for under 300 then you would fancy us.
