I mean it’s not cheating is it. Unsportsmanlike though.
Yeah cheating is the wrong word.

Funny how these things and the mankad only happen when a team is desperate for a wicket.

Bairstow looked at the umpire, who wasn’t even looking at play. How on earth can a ball be live if neither umpire is looking.

If I'm Bairstow, I'm throwing it at the stump after every ball next test.... until he gets "warned" for it. But who decides when the ball is dead now?

This really is shocking cricket from the Aussies, absolutely embarrassing themselves here with that wicket and now with more short stuff.

I'm actually fuming they haven't withdrawn that appeal. No blame on the umpires.

So should we start looking to see if we can mankad anyone if given a chance?
It’s a cheap way to get a wicket. And not “in the spirit”. But it was so premeditated that Bairstow must have been doing what he did for a while for them to do it. I’m not saying it is what I would like to see in cricket, but Bairstow needs to be more self aware.

That’s poor from the Australians. They were going to win this game anyway and didn’t need to do it this way.

Yeah. I’m surprised Australia had to resort to that. They were comfortably in charge of this game to go down that route. So pretty prickish.

Stokes is such a natural cricketer, it's insane how he can just switch tactics. There's too many to get here though unfortunately.

I don’t understand how the umpire can be looking at the floor if the ball is live. Bairstow is looking at the umpire before leaving his crease.

Shit sportsmanship IS cheating, it's just cheating you can get away with

England still only 7/1.... bookies are so scared of Stokes!

australia doing their level best to be regarded as massive cnuts. fair play.

That was so lame. Really can't believe that happened. You don't wanna see that in a match.

I am mildly surprised only because Cummins seemed to be leading them in a different way. But I guess when you’re desperate (though why? They’re still miles ahead?!) that gets put to the test.

Puts your arms down lad. Don't want to be seeing your dirty armpits.

is anyone surprised that a guy called cummins is actually a complete wanker?

Stokes is going to early here IMO

Agreed, but I don't think he trusts the tail at all and with over 150 needed needs them to stick around. I think Robinson would be a better choice at this stage to get another 30 on the board before hitting out.

All these commentators etc talking about waiting ball being dead is so funny. I am pretty sure it’s not something people do all the time. Aussies just misused that when they wanted a wicket
