Dont see it myself. Bell deserves to be given a go against someone other than the Aussies and Bangladeshis.

Im a fecking genius.

Great play from Tresco, England looking very good, Pakistan dont look dangerous at all.

Agreed, it is obviously a good batting wicket, and Packistan couldn't bat on it, and seem to be struggling big time and running out of ideas in their bowling department.

Harmison strikes in his first over!

144 runs ahead. should be enough to seal victory....

Reckon if they get a 200 run lead, it could be a target difficult to chase on the last day.

They're going at 5 runs an over. 60/1.

There is still over 2 days left, they could be 200 ahead by lunch tomorrow.

Their bowling doesn't look to hot to me.

We'd do 200 in 2 sessions imo.

Should've got more runs and batted them out of the game. I think their bowling's good, but three of the their bowlers are coming off a long lay off, according to the commentators. Also the the spinner will come into it on the last day, even though the pitch looks like it won't take much spin.

I don't really, their quicks are hit and miss really, and that medium fast bloke is shite from what I saw.

Spinners are decent, but no Shane Warne.

I reckon we could chase 250 easy with Tresco in this form.

Loads of time left aswell.

Yeah it's flat. The pitch has nowt, no spin, no pace. But you can never tell, the odd ball may keep low later on.

I don't get why Pakistani pitches offer nothing. Surely the type of soil over there?

They do it deliberately. They could grow some grass if they wanted to.

Lack of water would make the ground more hard. But the soil/ground's pretty soft. Plus I think that part of the world gets enough water.

It had grass on it before the game. They cut it off. Reckon it'd still be slow though.

Not strictly true.

To get a really fast wicket (eg Perth) you need the soil to be densely packed, so water and rolling whilst damp and hot sun would do that.

The WACA's like concrete. One in South Africa, like that, I think. Probably Jo'burg.

Perth's not just fast, but it's very bouncy as well, offers almost tennis ball bounce.
