Hoggard, eh?

They've given him a motorbike!
Its a crap one. He'd better not sit on it though..don't know if it'd take his weight.

Good bowling from him though.Overall decent match for the English I suppose they can take a few positives..Cook, Hoggard, Collingwood, to some extent Panesar.

Geraint Jones MBE is still shit.Haven't seen much of Ian Bell.

I have no words for Blackwell.

I thought Kumble had a very good test TBH.His bowling was spot on and he was majorly unlucky yesterday. His batting has always been good-ish...he never took it seriously but he played very well for his 58.

Interesting problem for the Indian team now that Yuvraj's back...Don't want to see Kaif dropped.

Could he fly it home?

They could ship it for him in time for his return home.

Could do I suppose, though unlikely.

Many teams share the prizes! dunno about England.

Drop Laxman or better drop both laxman and kafi to play Yubraj and 5th bowler

England would have dont the same thing in that situation.

TBH im just proud of the team and the way they came out with such agression. An Indian team taking a risk like this or atleast showing such attitude is something we havent seen before. Pathan and Dhoni give our side a new dimention. Loved the way Pathan came out today signalling the intent.. just love the way these youngsters have no fear and go for everything. I think we really could have won this.. had Pathan been around for another 5 overs, we would have had a great chance. Or even if Dhoni had given Sachin company.. nice to see the latter batting with such authority and agression.

But all in all, that was the most fun this test match has gotten. Both teams deserve credit.. England for taking a chance with the declaration and India for not playing out a boring draw but going for the win and making things intersting.

I guess. Isnt it boring just doing that. Dont you feel kinda useless. Reply to the post instead.

But I've told you so many times and you just don't seem to be able to grasp it.

Test Match stats. . .

Harbhajan Singh + Kumble = 4 for 282

Panesar = 3 for 131.

Conclusion. Nothing that we don't already know. Monty is better than Harbhajan and Kumble, the 'best spinners in the world', put together.

It's official.

I know it all man. Its the bloody internet, who cares about small grammatical errors.

Pathan got 5 wickets to Flintoffs 3.
Sreesanth got 4 i think. So theyr all better than fat freddy. And harmison must be the worlds worst bowler. This is all getting boring Spoonee.

Admit it. Monty's better than both your spinners put together.

That's all I want to hear. . .so we can all move on.

Pathans better than your whole team put together. Hes gods gift to world cricket. There you wanted the truth.. now go away. :D

Although i must say im beginning to like Flintoff a lot more now. The way you lot hyped and overrated him, you would think hes one arrogant prick. But hes a pretty likeable chap. Seems pretty humble too.

He's just an average medium pacer.

Just admit it Amol. Go on. Tell us Monty's better than both your spinners put together.

Kumble's a legend. Harbhajan has the talent to be. Monty is Ashlee Giles with a turban.

I was enjoying the game so much! I have no doubt any test team would have gone off in the circumstances. It's not a criticism of the Indian team Amol, more upset at the match ending as it did. Anyway I thought it was a good game with some great individual performances from both sides.

Fair result.

Fair enough. I knew winning was tough, but i was just proud the way everyone gave it a good shot. Pathan was really looking in the mood.. i seriously think had he been in for another 5 overs we could have won that. And Sachin looked really good in his brief innings. Liked the way he played Blackwells negative stuff and looked dominant against Flintoff.

One more thing. I didnt see the Dravid and Jaffer partnership, but it seemed they batted very slowly, understandably. But i think we made a mistake in how we paced our innings.. As one of the experts said, we should have moved up from gear 1 to 2, eventually to 5. Rather than meandering along 1 and then realising we had a chance and shifting to 5.. it left a little too much for the lower order.

But cant complain. Fabulous character shown by the side.. in the past we would have bottled that. Credit to England, they really impressed me.. and in Mohali if they bowl first and utilise the conditions, its their best chance to win a test on this tour. We need to get our spin attack in order.. Kumble did well, with very little luck. Harbhajan was awful. On these tracks when he gets it right hes unplayable, but of late he has this tendancy to let things fall into a pattern, hes very much a rythm bowler. If things dont go his way he goes through the motions and sticks to plan A.

Also, i would like to see us play a fifth bowler with Pathan promoted into the top 6. Hopefully that bowler would be the young talented Leggie Chawla.. really looks something special, hes got all the tricks one could have and is very handy with the bat. Or if the pitch has something for pacers, then Munav Patel.. another very good talent.

ah so your previous opinion of him was based on generally knowing jack shit about him.

excellent.

It would be nice is trescothick returned so we can drop bell. and drop blackwell for plunkitsname

Not quite. Never did dislike him. But all the hype was pretty laughable. His antics here in India last time around didnt help. Seems to have matured a lot since.

From the start of day five it was clear that asking India to go for four an over on the last day of a test was almost impossible. It has never been done in India before for a positive result.

Both India and England fought well and really, as the result suggests, there were no losers. Really looking forward to a lively continuation in Mohali. Thats how I feel, anyway.

Completely agree.
With crappy too, England were the better team.. especially considering were playing at home.

Rubbish pitch, was dead on the last day.

Panesar looked promising again.

Good on India for going for it and making a game of it.

Is Simon Jones going to be fit any time soon?

I say again, Blackwell is rubbish.

I see the Indians bottled it.

Monty is the man.

Gutted for Simon Jones. I think the Indian's should realize that if we had arguably our best exponent of reverse swing playing instead of the listless Blackwell, it would more than likely be 1-0 to us right now.

I hope they put Plunkett in for the 2nd test.

Stop talking in the air.. anything could have happened. If Trescothic had been fit you wouldnt have had an opener scoring almost 200 runs in the game.

And if you weren't crap, you might be a lot better.
