England V India

1053 WICKET: England 225-6 (Jones 14) Jones pushes forward and makes contact, but umpire Dar deems that it was pad first and gives him out.

Is this why?
mmmm

I thought it was pad first only

We're going to get fecking whipped in this series I reckon.

All because of cheating and bad luck with injuries.

Why is it that when we are losing it’s because we get cheated on and our luck is poor, and not because we can’t bat for soft mick?

Anyway, don’t under estimate Harmisson, Freddie and Hoggard… even on those pitches. And the word from people in the know is that that Paneswar kid is a bit special…

You've always got a chance against the Indians because they've got no bottle.

There aren’t any predjudiced slurs in this thread against another people are they? You should of told the Govenors of India how much bottle they didn’t have…

As for door knobs, with them he’s averaging 46 wickets at 21. not bad for a spinner on English pitches….

Freddie was given out wrongly, but thats about it.. Jones was clearly out. Im surprised by our discipline, thought the English would have easily made 300 on day one. Started of poorly but a good overall bowling performance.. each of the 4 bowlers came to fore at some point or the other.

Personally would like to see Pathan as part of our 7 batsman. That way we could include an extra bowler.. That 17 year old Chawla could be a handful for these English batsman.

On the plus side, Cook looks a real talent. Not and easy place or time to make your debut. He did really well. Also good to see Collingwood becoming more settled to Test cricket, three 50's in a row, hopefully he can steer us to at least 320. Not holding my breath though.

Pathan has got to be considered one of the best all rounders knocking about at the moment. Chawla wouldn't happen to have any English heritage would he by any chance?

It's a good sign that British Asians are playing the game. If we're going to have to put up with them, the least they could do for us is learn how to turn the ball.

Well that wasn't very good.

I think Blackwell is rubbish.

Cook looks good.

Shame about Flintoff.

Where were the fanatical Indian supporters?

Even Amol hasn't put in an appearance.

He's probably only interested in the pyjama cricket at the end of the tour.

I am here.

More people would turn up when it is India's turn to bat.
Also on weekdays, most people are working. We are not work dodging cnuts like Englishmen. ;) But test match is crowd has always been relatively poor compared to ODIs.

Series is going to be shit, England don't have any fight in them. Ball hardly turned today, they should have been like 300+ for 3-4 wickets at most. 5 out of 7 wickets taken by our pace bowlers, says it all really.
