England v Australia - Third Ashes Test - Edgbeston

Get Hussey early and we're well in this.

Watson will get hismelf out eventually.

Clarke's the otehr big wicket obviously.|

Come on

Draw written all over this one.

However I can't wait till the next test. With Lee back in the side it'll be a cracking contest.

I meant it in the sense that it will draw considerable interest from cricket followers.

I wish India could play either of these countries now. Especially Australia.

BCCI dipshits. We play like 4 tests all year and played 3 of those already in March.

Why?

As always with India.
I'd fancy you to beat us at home, and vice versa.

I'm fairly confident you'll disagree :D

We're on an upward curve at the minute after a shaky few years.

Fascinating timing of events coming up - it is a drawn game as it stands but a couple of quick wickets in the next hour could really put the skids under them

Come on Broady Freddie and co - get into 'em

I'd like to see Autralia get their lead up to 200 by say 4.45-5pm, and then put England in to bat in an effort to bowl them out.

Would be entertaining

No chance of Aussies bowling us out, but if they could pick up a few wickets having survived so easily themselves, there may be a different feel going into the Headingley test.

I think we have our best team in a while and would like to see how we do in English conditions. And yea, I'd fancy us even away.

Upward curve, yes, but when Flintoff goes you have a big problem. He's an all rounder, and if England replace him with a batsman -- that leaves a rather(not very, but you have become used to playing with 5 bowlers) weak bowling attack. If England replace him with a bowler, the batting order looks even shorter. England definitely won't find an all-rounder as good as him.

And IMO, this present Australian team are playing only to 75% of their potential. I'm enjoying this, though. Love it when Ponting keeps getting out.

Maybe they'll throw Adil Rashid in as an all rounder?

I'd love to see that.

I can actually see them doing something silly like that. I've seen him bowl only a few overs, but I don't think he'll make it. Not enough time to make a judgment, yes, but he doesn't look anything special to me.

He's got a huge rep from his underage days and has a pretty decent county record I think

Shane Warne is also a big fan

I think he will living in Yorkshire I'v seen him allot I'm very confindent he will make it.

I didn't know that.

Have you read Warne's comments on Bopara? Looks like he's sledged the guy into submission without setting foot on the pitch. Before the Ashes started, he said Bopara bottles it under pressure and other things, and repeated it when asked about in the commentary box.

In the commentary box, Warne said he thinks Bopara is a good player, but his technique is just not tight enough to be a number 3.

He indicated that it was about temperament. I don't know if he actually used the word. But he said when he was playing county cricket in England, it was easy to wind Bopara up and get him out.. something like that.

And the pre-Ashes quotes:

"Bopara is a good first-class cricketer, but he is not an international cricketer," Warne said of the batsman who made centuries in three consecutive Tests against the West Indies to cement his place at No. 3.

"I think he's got all the talent in the world but I just don't think he's got the temperament. He can be put off his game too easily and he's too worried about how he looks."

I read that. I think Warne has toned down that criticism in the commentary box.

Warne is great in the commentary box, his knowledge of the game is fantastic and he’s a real tactical thinker. He really should have captained Australia.

What about Michael Holding and his silly and wrong opinion about fast bowlers and where they should plant their feet on the crease?
