Technically brilliant. But there is no reason as to why KP cant pass the number of runs Dravid has scored and in less matches.

I think Pietersen is nowhere near the finished article, hes got areas he can improve in.

Dravid has 6000 runs more than Pietersen.
Dravid's average(52.5) is more than Pietersen's.(50)
Pietersen is 29. Dravid isn't done yet.

Ponting's first error ,I would of bowled first after all that rain ,there will be mousture in the pitch and the air.Flintoff could get a couple of wickets and Struss maybe give the spinners a chance. A couple of cheapo wickets will be good for England. Play should start at 5.

It's the only way they'll win the game. England would just need to play as slow as possible and back Australia into a corner.
 
Looking at the weather for the week does't look good but we said that about the firs 2 tests it never happened. Great start for the Aussies I think the break helped England there.
 
only watched the last 10 overs after I got home from work and I was less then impressed ,the bowling was all over the place.
bowling was way f line and lenght , the only wicket came from the spinner Swann , should of given him more.
Ponting looks set and Watson looks like his place in the team is well justified.
Can't really see this test being anything other than a draw.
 
We are going to struggle to hold on in this test unless we get wickets in the first session.

Brilliant start from the Ozz really cranking up a the rate to give themselves a chance of getting even

We need 2/3 wkts to put the breaks on them and give ourselves some chance of at least not losing it imo
 
Struss blew it by not using Swann more than 2 overs,the conditions outy there would of been ideal for him , a damp wicket and mousture in the air ,his spin could of got a couple more wickets.
Has it is Watson is looking solid and Ponting looks in the mood to make us suffer.
Flntoff' bowling was way of the mark and today needs to be better.
Sun and no rain is the forcaste today and with the wicket looking flat,the Aussie's could put on a big score today.
The rain is due again tommorow so it will be all academic the game is heading for a dr

Why is Onions opening the bowling? He was rubbish last night and by far the worst of the lot.
I sometimes wonder if Strauss really knows what he is doing.
I hope iam wrong and he can grab a few early wickets.

169-4: Drinks and a moment to reflect on a glittering morning's work for Graham Onions. The last few overs have seen the ball swinging like the pants of Trevor and Simon on Going Live (bit of a niche one for the 30-somethings there. Kids - ask your dad).
 
By all accounts Koertzen is having a mare ,out when not out and plumb LBW not given.
But who cares 8 wickets in 2 hours play is amazing.
Glad Onions has made me look an idiot ,we should get a good few hours to bat today
Now let's hope the rain for Saturday is wrong and stays dry.
